Hi Guys! Assalamu'alaikum so I'm going to just do a random vlog
The first thing you need to know about vlogging is that it's you talking to the camera so
you should maintain eye contact with your camera and sometimes you can check the camera
whether or not you look good talking like that
and yeah so maintain eye contact with the camera because
you are.. in your vlog you are commmunicating
with people and viewers who are watching your video
so its really important to maintain that eye contact with the
lens so next is this height I don't know if you can see it but when you vlog it's better
to have this well umm always record yourself waist up well not really
waist up but thats considered with that position you are actually putting
a very comfortable view for the viewers if you are too close
they will just they'll feel like they want to poke you or
something orthey have way too many things to focus on
like your eyes, your nose, your lips, or your cheeks
Don't look at my cheeks So you so what you should do is that you should
maintain that distance and then this is if you have a camera stand for your camera or
you're putting your camera on something like what I'm doing
you can see a book I'm actually putting a stack, over a stack
of books because I'm using my phone I don't have any camera
I don't have a camera like you guys So if you're putting your phone or your camera
on a camera stand or something that is pretty good because you get to maintain the distance
between you and your viewer then what's important why is it important for you to have this
your camera position so that you're filming your waist up is because you'll be able to
show your hand gestures and your body language which is pretty essential for vlogging because
you don't wanna bore people with your.... just you talking so it's really good to have
that space so that you can show people you can actually entertain people with your body
gestures who knows if they are entertained on how weird you move around
so yeah and then to have that bigger space like this
because some people those who edit with their laptops with a software
in their laptops they can just add things over here like subtitles or pictures and all
that But I can't because I'm editing with my phone
right now so I can't really add those things. And then try to move about like from the left
and to the right Use I don't know, I'd like to call it jumpshots
but it's not really jumpshots but you are jumping from one shot to another so first
you're here Then POW
you're here So with that you can actually just that's
alot of cutting and putting them closer together and make it look like magic but it's actually
jumpshots I LIKE TO CALL IT JUMPSHOTS
shush There are alot of types of vlogs that you
can work on if you feel like you want to this kind of vlogging or not
So there are those type of vloggers who would like to vlog who would have this pretty lengthy
vlog because they don't edit out their jumpshots, the don't edit their uhhs and umms, they don't
cut it out So they have this pretty lengthy vlog but
then they have their speech they have their message in variety
they don't repeat the same things so that they don't really bore people
People like this are like David Archuleta David Archuleta used to vlog alot before he
went for his mission and his vlogs are really fun to watch because it's his personality.
When you show your natural self onto the screen, through your lens to your viewers
You would actually find yourselves more confident to show your true colours
So that is really good and then the thing is with vlogging you are actually trying to
put yourself in a better relationship with your vloggers (EH I MEAN) viewers so you would
best to just be yourself Just be yourself!
So that's it and topics. Vlogs aren't usually vlogs that you write
a paper beforehand like write the dialouges and all that
Vlogs are usually spontaneous so you can either talk on your own, or you bring people along
or you go to places and film whatever you wanna film, because vlogging is just you relaying
a message to your viewers to, as I said, to strengthen the bond between you and your viewers
so that you guys will get a little closer and all that
Don't be afraid of making mistakes because we learn from our mistakes
You might not be good at vlogging now because you're new at it
Don't worry just keep doing it Practice makes it perfect Don't be afraid
to vlog when you want to vlog when you feel like vlogging just vlog!
To those people who are vlogging in English Not having english as their mother toungue
Don't worry about it Don't worry about your tenses don't worry about your pronounciation
Don't worry about your slang Don't worry about your english
Just as long as you are still projecting your voice
You have intonations in your voice And you have a pace that you maintain
Or a variety of pace that you have in your vlogs
That's about it
The reason why I did this vlog is because I just
Because there is this new challenge Currently the new challenge has started
The challenge by me and Wiqa Most of it is Wiqa
I'm just the very blabbermouth Wiqa wanted to step up the challenge
So she said let's do 14 Days At least it looks more challenging than 10
Days But there's a catch!
You need to film on the odd days which is like: 11th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 19th, 21st and
23rd. I'm bad at Maths.
Will be the days that you will be uploading, eh I mean, you will be filming your vlogs
and then on the even numbers of the days like: 12th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 20th, 22nd and 24th
will be the uploading days The thing with the themes is that it's just
to practice your creativity Oh wait I got someone texting me
KAJAP! Oh yes, about background music if you want
to use background music for your vlogs if you don't have your own theme song yet
You can use other people's theme songs (Don't forget to credit them in your description)
for me I'm using the ones which are set up on YouTube because I'm editing with my phone
The best kind of background music for you to use is actually those without vocals or
people singing so just use instrumentals and then use instrumentals which suit your video
don't use an instrumental which is really sappy and sad and full of broken hearts but
your video is something happy so use a happy song it doesn't really matter
and if you're using a background music with some vocals, some singers in the music, make
sure that it's at a if you're editing with your software in your laptop you can actually
see the meters. the thingie majiggy for your audio for your video has its limit audio.
The maximum and the minimum Make sure that your background music should
be about that height or slightly lower because the maximum of the background music should
not pass the minimum of your audio for your video
That's just common sense Just sayin' because some videos I'm not saying
from the vloggers, but there are some videos that I used to check out on YouTube and they
have their songs a little too loud and sometimes you just can't hear them I am looking forward
for the participants' videos for the 14 Day Vlogging Challenge because I see some natural
vloggers as I was watching the videos which are already on YouTube
So I am so excited I am rooting for you guys! I will give my honest opinions in ways of
how to improve your vlogs I know my vlogs are a little boringggggggggggggg because I
can't edit with my laptop for the time being I hope you guys will make use of the tips
that me and Wiqa have shared with you guys through our channel
That's about it! I don't know
That was awkward Thank you for watching
I hope you find it useful Assalamu'alaikum!
