Hi everyone! Today I am going to talk about a free and open-source integrated development environment for R
The software’s name is …
RStudio
and we can go to rstudio.org
To download that software. I have already downloaded the software and installed it.
So this is the IDE - you can see there is a console and there is a section for file, help, package and this is the workspace where you can see your variables
I am going to go to one of my project “Book”
Here you can see the R-code of this project and this is the R console
And this is the R workspace where you can see your files
For example, in this workspace, there are some files here
All the plots will be shown here, packages that are installed here, the help section
And this is the version control section
Now we want to run the whole code – all the code is running here in R
You can see R is running here and at the end of the code running,
Datasets, R-objects saved in this space
For example, the command here was to plot a GLM object
If I hit enter, the plots will be shown here and help file for “plot” here
So this is how we will use Rstudio
Write your codes here and you can see R console and the objects in workspace. For example, you can see the datafiles and it can be opened in this section
If you want to change the way the code looks like here, you can go to options > appearance > and then you can choose
Also if you want to installer a package, you can install it from the menu
After installing it you can load the package using -require- command or -library- command. You can install this software and see whether you like it or not :) Thanks for watching
