We would like to make an announcement about an exciting free higher education opportunity.
East High School has teamed up with EarthWorks Institute of Rochester to bring the students science and civic engagement, SSCE, to your school.
This program offers students of East High School an opportunity to gain the skills and experience required to advance into higher education and great jobs.
We currently have East High students participating in the program. Our completion of actual environmental research as a part of internships with at least 11 major institutions of Rochester, it's very impressive.
We want you to join us next year if you would like.
The 6th grade Canada trip parent/scholar informational meeting is this evening from 5:30 to 6:30 P.M. in the Forum Room.
Scholars are reminded to bring their official birth certificates.
Now a few messages from our Library.
April is poetry month and our East High School Library has started their annual spine poetry collections.
Staff and students, stop by the Library and create a spine poem for display.
Also, please submit your poetry, memoir, short stories, academic papers, fantasy, autobiography, science fiction, fiction or graphic novels to Ms. QD if you want your work displayed on the library web page or library wall.
We are all writers in office and we all have stories to tell. This message is for both staff and students.

Now, here's Yahnai with your words of wisdom.
American actor Edward James Olmos has visited many young people in schools, hospitals, libraries and juvinile detention centers.
His message: "Keep trying until you get what you want out of life."
Why? Because sometimes it takes a lot of determination to achieve your goals.
It can mean working hard and not giving up in the face of fear and failure.
Today, remember the message of Edward James Olmos and the words of another great American actor, Mickey Rooney.
"You always pass failure on the way to success."
So don't let failure stop you. Instead, let failure be an opportunity to do better the next time.
An opportunity to try harder and to learn from your mistakes.
We have the power to change the world East High,
Now let's get to work.
