All right. Here we are, up here in Snowbasin, Ski Resort again talking about Geigerrig
Hydration Packs and Geigerrig Hydration Engines. And here we have a Geigerrig Hydration
Engines. A lot of times when I am up with my family in the mountain, they go through
that
water so fast and I am on the mountain, not anywhere near a water source. So what I need
to do is I need to refill at a stream, a river, a creek or even a ditch. So what I do is I
do as I
always do, I depressurize, I get my rapid depressurization out then I slide my slide
top off, I
pull the water right out of the ditch, slide the slide top back on, I put my bulb, I pressurize
and about that much pressure will drain this entire pack right here and I am ready to drink.
But of course, when I go to drink the water from that ditch, I am nervous about Giardia,
Cryptosporidium, other things in that water that could really make me sick., kids sick
and
those who are with me. So with the Geigerrig, we have the Geigerrig In-line Hydration
Filter. And we have the Geigerrig tube that is afilter ready tube. And what this does
is it
disconnects and there is a valve in there that keeps the water from flying out. I connect
my
tube and now my water is filter. The water that I pull out of that ditch is filtered.
And the
water you can see is still streams out. If you had to suck that through that filter,
you would
be having a really difficult time. Pressurization of this Geigerrig, this filter works. And
I am
able to go in and pull water right out that ditch and drink and you can see, it is still
pushing
the water right through that filter. And that is the difference here. One of the main
difference is here with the Geigerrig, it pushes the water that you pulled out that
ditch,
that river, that stream, whatever you needed when you are up on the hill, right through
that filter, this in-line Geigerrig Hydration filter, right through the bite valve and I
am
drinking clean water and so were those that are with me. And that is the main difference
here with the Geigerrig Hydration Engine. Have a good day and we hope to see you up
on
the mountain.
