Hi! This is Ben Jordan from expertvillage.com and I am here to talk to you about merging
onto bike trails. Be sure to enter any trail with caution. Other cyclists will be traveling
in both directions so just like an automobile entering an highway, do it swiftly and carefully.
While you are merging onto the bike trail, you need to make sure you pay attention to
avoid hitting other cyclists. Some of these entrances are downhill. Be sure to completely
stop before you enter the trail to avoid hitting or endangering other cyclists. If there is
a stop sign for the trail you should stop, look both directions of the trail and make
sure that no other cyclists are coming. If the trail doesn't require you to stop while
entering the trail, it's a good idea to slow down and look in both directions several times.
Many trails are very busy and lots of cyclists ride at different rates. Be sure to look both
ways before entering a trail.
