I'll get the camera set up.
How's the chair position?
If you can move it to the right just a little bit.
Looks good.
If you could just have a seat here. Thanks.
Just remember to always keep your eyes on me, not the camera.
Justin, how're we looking? Good to go.
Alright, so first question, "What is Project Pay Attention in your own words?"
Since its inception a year ago at NYU, Project Pay Attention has made
large strides in educating individuals on the power of actions and language.
It's a belief that people can shift their behavior and ultimately create a more
respectful society. But what's happening on the microlevel?
How are students responding to the initiative and how has it changed their social interactions?
Here are some of their stories.
My name is and reckon I think our my name is in danger and my name Spencer Shafter
my name is baller a kind and I page party pay attention
is a movement I think for people to keep track
afterwards their actions and the fact that they have other people
to pledge its kinda commitment that you need to make yourself gay
cause upon us to make decisions in order to you need a
but darling later kinda promote language that is beneficial to everyone
but some like friends sometimes I feel bad about calling out on these things
but it reaches a point where you have to stand up and have to speak up
about how people interact with each other because there's so many people
that I Saint really be aware this hijacked
and it feels like a movement building campaign that growing and that will
continue to go well
and I think it's something that we need Grammy in society
so we invited two soldiers packaging team
they had that distort the introduction to the program history
and added a happy ball come up and really talk about how
what take away if they can pay attention in the future it was
it was great we had about 35 people there the awesome you're interested
I'm working out the Flyers where there are stop down my hallway
talking always reminded about how to get paid long words like to hear
mom most often is weaning us to buy
for me I think a lot of the comments that instigates issues and arguments
you know that Lisa that I dealt with in my position is residences
are largely focused on you know somebody's personal perspective their
own
images preconceived notions I think we should not be saying I understand why
I'm
antacid understanding rather keep my coming about
and their point how they feel because we all come from different backgrounds and
affected
by defending different ways and that's something that everyone should
take the pledge I think it's an amazing thing that you can do I
in order to you take one step into creating this kind of environment that
is going to be /c
included for everyone and if we encourage you to all cell
tell your friends about st. think it's something that really thrives on I'm
getting people to share
and I think it's just one more process into creating
this community that's really safe for everyone
lar the new
done project pay attention is a movement quickly expanding beyond its original
home of Washington Square
many a min wage global sites have begun sharing the initiative
other universities have expressed their interest in everyone
students to faculty are quickly embracing ideals
and byproduct detentions fast growing popularity
the messages stills to create a more inclusive community
one person at a time meaningful change is difficult to come by a lot but if we
work together
spread the word a lot of small change real
make the victims
