frequently I hear the term turnkey when
a franchisor is advertising or promoting a franchise system
and I'll here ads on the radio
promoting the sale of their franchise and encouraging people to buy
their turnkey operation I guess the implication is you just sign up with us
and you hand us some money
and you'll be good to go we'll set up the location for you
we'll tell you what day to come and open up the doors and you just start operating and
making money
but there's no franchise that really does that I mean there's some good
franchises out there
if you're looking for something thats turnkey where you don't have to put
input into the process and you're not going to be involved in establishing the
business
I think you're making a big mistake so when you're buying a franchise
understand nothing's turnkey no one's gonna do everything for you
no franchisors gonna do everything and you need to investigate
so don't just buy a franchise or commit to a franchisor because you
think it's guaranteed and they'll
take care of everything for you remember they're out there to sell a franchise
and your their customer so they may be making it sound a little better than what the
reality tells us
