Hello everybody. Welcome back to Computer TV.
I'm Sam and today I'm going to tell you about
this Giinii.
This is a 7" Widescreen digital picture frame.
Now, this is a Giinii, but I think that if you rub it,
nothing will come out.
No magic genie here.
But, it's great for pictures!
Videos, music, all the goods.
And hey, you know what? Mother's Day is coming up,
I think it's actually next month.
And I don't know about you, but this is a great gift for Mom.
Even Dad, Father's Day is just around the corner, too.
I mean, you could put this on a desk, you could put it anywhere in the house.
As long as you have power -
It's not battery powered, only AC powered.
So it makes definitely a great gift.
Ok, so first of all, let me tell you a little bit more about this.
It has an 800x480 resolution,
512 MB of storage, but also takes SD, XD, memory stick and MMC cards.
You can load all your pictures up here,
as long as they're in Jpeg, TIFF or GIF form,
Your videos in WAV or AVI files
and your music in MP3 files.
Has a clock, a calendar, you can create a slideshow,
you can even do some basic editing to your photos on this thing.
And it also has an alarm clock.
And check out, this clock...
actually we'll come back to it, but...
That is an electronic flip clock. It's this cool, retro...
There it is, there it is again.
And I like this retro look. It's very nifty.
And this wedge design, according to the box, it's award winning,
And look, I'll turn it to the side so you can really see the wedge.
Very nice looking.
Has this stainless steel plate cover, and definitely makes for a great gift.
All right, so let's take a look around this thing.
On the side, you have your speakers and you also have your function control buttons
to get to your menu and to scroll around your menu.
And these are really nice, they're one touch, soft touch, actually, buttons.
And we'll turn around to the other side.
And you'll see your power button.
This is also your one stop menu button as well,
and if you go down you'll see your USB port
and right here, this is your power.
Ok, so let's get into the inner workings of this Giinii digital picture frame.
And to do so, you just tap this side menu function button,
and it brings you up to your menus.
And here,
you are in the photo section.
And if you just hit "ok",
like so,
you'll see all of your photos.
And in here, this is where you can do your instant editing.
So let's see,
I'm on this sailboat picture.
It's a pretty picture. Came preloaded on this Giinii,
and I just click "ok" again, and it brings me up more options:
I can control the brightness,
and I'm going to scroll through the different options here.
With these keys.
Actually, here we go.
All right. So, you can change the contrast.
You can make color effects.
Really, the only color effect it has is black and white,
but, hey, that's a cool option.
All right, so we'll go back on down.
Keep on going...
You can delete photos off of the internal memory,
or off of your memory card.
Let's see, you can rotate a photo,
make it perfect for your slideshow.
And, last but not least, you can change the ratio of your photo.
Ok, so let's get out of here.
Exit.
Ok, we're tapping you lightly.
I guess we have to...
click "ok". Ok.
Exit.
These buttons can be a little finicky at times.
All right. So that's all for photos.
Let's get out of here.
And we're going to scroll down ,
to music.
And we don't have any music uploaded on here,
but, as I told you, you can upload all your MP3 and your WAV files.
Ok, we're going to scroll on down,
and to movies.
Just think of all the movies you take on your digital camera.
You can upload them so easily, no PC required,
onto your digital picture frame,
so everyone can see them.
And, last but not least, settings.
And we're going to go into settings.
Ok, in here, this is how you create your slideshow.
We'll scroll through a couple of these.
When you're in your slideshow,
click "ok"...
and you can change the intervals,
the play mode,
You can even set the different transitions,
so if you want them to just do simple wipes or if you want to change it to dissolves,
whatever you feel suits your slideshow best.
Ok, so let's get out of here.
All right. And we forgot to show you up top..
The calendar and alarm clock. So we'll do that now.
That's up top right here.
Ok, so you have your clock,
and we'll go into "clock".
And so, if this retro looking digital flip clock isn't working for you,
you can actually change to a more standard looking clock.
I personally like the retro look.
Look, look at those transitions.
Very nice.
Ok, but I want to show you one more thing on the menu
before we leave.
And let's scroll up top.
And that is your calendar.
So let's not forget about that.
And here you can go inside your calendar.
And have a nice view of what is going on in April.
So. There you guys have it.
This is the Giinii.
This is the 7" widescreen wedge digital picture frame.
Comes equipped with all those things.
And,
I like it. Makes for a great gift.
So definitely check this one out, and we'll see you next time.
