A Batman: Arkham Origins promotional standee has revealed new villains we can expect to
appear in the game.
A photo provided to CVG shows off The Joker, Scarecrow, Bane, and Killer Croc in addition
to the previously confirmed Deathstroke.
Joker and Scarecrow appear on the left side of the image, while Croc, Deathstroke, and
Bane appear near the Arkham Origins logo.
Mark Hamill played The Joker in both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, but has since retired
from the series. It remains to be seen who will replace him.
WB previously revealed that Batman will face eight assassins in Arkham Origins including
Deathstroke and Black Mask. It’s currently unknown whether the villains revealed today
are among that group or if they’ll simply make appearances.
Batman: Arkham Origins was announced earlier this month and is in development for PC, PlayStation
3, Xbox 360, and Wii U. It has a release date of October 25 this year, but there has been
no mention of it coming to next-gen consoles.
The first two games were developed by Rocksteady, but Warner Bros. Games Montreal is prepping
this prequel.
