>> Catherine Bianchi, Director, Graduate Admissions, W. Paul Stillman School of Business, Seton
Hall University: The GMAT is a business school admission exam that used to help the admissions
person make a decision on the quantitative and qualitative skills of the candidate applying
for the program. We don't accept any other admission test except for the GMAT. We feel
it's such a strong predictor of success and very important to the admission process.
>> Laura Russo, Recruiting and Admissions Service, SDA Bocconi School of Management:
It's the only objective way of assessing candidates in that we have a diversity within our applicants
pool. They come from different countries, from different academic and professional backgrounds.
And really I value diversity. I think students coming from so many countries it's really
important to have a test which can be taken everywhere. So our applicants in Russia, in
Colombia, in Turkey can all take the same test.
>> Catherine Bianchi: There's a very strong correlation between an applicant's GMAT score
and how successful they are in our program. I strongly believe and I have seen this that
the better their quantitative skills, better they will be in the classroom, the more successful
they will be in the classroom and the better student they are overall.
