Okay, once you have the materials picked out, you are going to want to wash them according
to the directions. So, when you buy them at the store, be sure to look on the end of the
bolt it will usually tell you how to wash them. If you have vintage material you are
using, you are just going to have to guess. Usually with vintage material, I usually wash
it on gentle because you do want to put it in the machine because a lot of times it has
that old attic smell. But I will hang it to dry if I am not sure if its something that
can go in the dryer. Its always safe, better to be on the safe side. Once you have it washed
and dried, you will be ready to iron it. Just want to lay your fabric out and make sure
you set your iron according to your fabric or you will have scorched fabric before you
even start. I always start from the center.
Once you have all the wrinkles out, you will be ready to start.
