Now we look at the last two options. This is by far and away the most difficult of the
game, certainly more difficult than tricks or nullos or queens or what have you. If you
look at this hand closely, we can certainly say for example that we would never call queens
with a hand like this because we are going to take a lot of queens. The reason that this
hand is ideal is that it has the tops and the bottoms and the escape cards which are
the deuces. Okay, that means that there will be a point in this hand when you can shed
this hand absolutely positively by trick number eleven. And here is the plan, here is how
you would play last two with this hand. Again, why would you call last two? Because you have
the tops and the deuces. Not the threes, per say, the deuces. The deuces enable you to
escape the hand. You have to make the effort to count the suites, that is the whole thing
you have to make sure your deuce is not an established card. You start with the king
of clubs and you just keep plowing that suite through until you get that ace out, okay.
They will play the ace, nobody is going to hold on to the ace. They may hold on to it
a couple of times but sooner or later you are going to rip through to the ace. Then
if you get thrown back in with, let us a say, a spade, you are going to start with the queen
of hearts.
