30 principles to awaken the soul.
Continuing with the 30 principles to awaken the soul
Today we are talking about the third principle: Recognize and respect the sacred in every person
all in all, we are all one... all is one
the first 3 princples are chained, the first one is "all is being", the second one is "you are being" and the third one is "the neigbor is also being" so, recognize and respect the sacred in every person
because all is one, all is being, It's the manifested universe, the unmanifested, emptiness, form, consciousness, You, I, all is one
So it's not out of place at all to recognize and greet people feeling that, feeling Namaskar
Namaskar, you probably won't go through the streets in the west, saying "Namaskar"
or putting your hands together, in Gasho, probably not
but certainly inside your heart, you have to feel always Namaskar
anytime you relate to your neighbor, Namaskar, Namaskar
But what's Namaskar? well its a Sanskrit word that has several meanings
Namaskar means, for example, and I'm talking to you, Namaskar means "the God in me, sees and honours the God in you"
"the divine in me, greets the divine in you"
"I greet that place where you and I are one"
"I honour the spirit in you that's also in me"
"My highest energy greets your highest energy"
that is Namaskar
probably the most complete meaning would be
"I honour that place in you where the whole universe dwells, I honour that place in you, that is full of love, of truth, of light, of peace, And when you are in that place in yourself, and I am in that place in myself, we are one"
remember, then, this third principle: "recognize and respect the sacred in every person"
in all the people you see, in all the people you meet, it's the same
It's sometimes as I call it the "imprisoned divinity", locked in a body, behind the bars of the prison of the mind
but the divinity is still there
no matter who the person is, no matter what his circumstances are
the essence of that human being, is that "I", indestructible, immortal that is occupying that body
but are you capable of relating, or capable of seeing the sacred in the other?
to the extent that the highest level of energy vibrates in you?
to the extent that the consciousness, being, what you are, expresses through you in its highest form
So, only when you are in that place, where no creature resides...
like the mystics would say: when you are in that place, when you elevate, then you are capable of seeing, and recognizing, and respecting the sacred in the other
if you are lower, you'll see them as alien
and if your level of consciousness is even lower, you'll even see the other as an enemy, by mistake, you'll see them like that
then, recognize and respect the sacred in every person
because in essence, we are all one
Namaskar
