Two Canadians held without charge in Egypt are now heading home.
The Canadian government has confirmed Egypt's military-backed authorities have released
the men after seven weeks in detention. (Via BBC)
Dr Tarek Loubani and filmmaker John Greyson were accused of involvement in the deadly
clashes in Cairo. Loubani said he was just helping the protesters, while Greyson filmed.

The two men were leaving the protest when they stopped to asked police for directions.
That's when they were allegedly beaten and taken into custody.
"They were being held in a overcrowded, bug infested cell in the notorious Tora prison.
The men staged a hunger strike to protest their detention."
Tens of thousands of people signed a petition on Change.org demanding their release.
The timing of their release is key — it comes on the eve of the surprise Egyptian
attack against Israel that kicked off the 1973 Mideast war.
Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to commemorate the 40th anniversary in Tahrir
Square. Islamists have vowed a rival march protesting the interim government. (Via Jewish
