Hi, my name is Lori Schneider with Figs Catering in Austin, Texas. On behalf of Expert Village
today we are going to show you how to make roasted root vegetables. So now I'm going
to add some fresh thyme to our mix here and thyme is a really great earthy herb. It is
really great for fall types food cause like I said it is really earthy, it has a really
wonderful flavor. So I'm going to remove a few stems from my bunch of thyme and I'm simply
going to over my sheet pan just pull the leaves off into the pan just like so. The leaves
in thyme are definitely eatable, they are very *** so keep that in mind. You definitely
don't want to get that into your herbs. You can just actually just lightly leave the stems
in there and they fish them out later. But I really like the look of having a little
small thyme leaves, it has a really nice presentation. Almost done with that and if you don't care
for thyme and you don't have fresh thyme or it is not available in your area you can definitely
use dry thyme. Dry thyme is very opulent it needs a little bit less. But go ahead and
add in about a teaspoon or so of dry thyme. Okay and that is all of our thyme leaves.
