Whether you want an iPod or Beanie Babies, TVs or jewlery. There's lot of stuff at the unclaimed property auction.
Well, so far so good. It's been very successful.
We've had, I'm pretty sure, over 150 people come and actually view property.
Uh, the bids have just topped over a hundred thousand dollars and we're expecting even bigger and better
before the close of business at midnight.
As usual, lots of coins...and jewlery...and currency.
We have an exceptional large number of tools and electronics.
Even have some unusual baseball cards this year that may do very well in the end run.
Woman 1: So how many years have you been coming to this?
Woman 2: We were trying to figure that out, I think 7.
Woman 1: Wow. And why do you keep coming back?
Woman 2: Oh because we have fun going through this and looking at all the different treasures.
And actually, we drove a thousand miles this time to come. Insead of flying, we drove it.
Woman 1: Oh my gosh. But it's worth it?
Woman 2: Oh yeah, definately. Yeah.
Well, the ebidlocal.com process that we've got now employed for the Treasury
Is a particualrly good process because it literally gives everyone equal access to all the items.
24/7. 365. The entire length of time the sale is online. Everyone has equal access.
While the preview runs all day long from 9am to 5pm. And then when the preview closes down
everyone gets home, gets back to their computer and finishes up whatever bidding activity they want.
The bidding will actually take place from 7:30 to 9:30. That will all conclude sometime just before midnight tonight
And then tomorrow they'll come in and actually arrange final payment, and they'll actually pick up their merchandise and be able to take it with them.
Bid anywhere in the country, buy from anywhere in the country. The shippers will pack and ship it to them.
You may have missed this year's tangible property auction but there's always more next year.
