Physics-online.com is a new online service which is incredibly useful to physics teachers
It gives the teacher access to a library of around 1500 great interactive resources
Interactive simulation, animation and video lectures, but not text
Resources that help students visualise tricky concepts
This is our Motion-time graphs
Draw any graph and the car will animate the motion.
For Velocity, Displacement or Acceleration
Export data, change 3D view, switch to a racing car . . . .
It has a searchable library of around 1500 resources
Find a resource for pretty much any physics topic
I'll search for "interference"
Here's another very useful resource
Change parameters such as wavelength and the interference pattern changes.
I'll search for terminal velocity
And here is an interactive simulation showing a skydiver
We've seen just 3 out of the 1500 resources
We've mapped the resource library to A-levels and GCSEs in the UK and AP-physics for the USA
So you to browse through your course to find great interactive teaching resources
Mechancis pad allows you to draw mechanical systems with shapes, ropes, forces, pulleys and motors
It applies the physics and you see the system moving in realistic motion
You can measure and plot quantities, display vectors. It's very useful and great fun
