Hi, I'm Jared. I'm from Premier Law Group and today I'm going to answer the question,
Do I get compensated if I miss time off from work because of injuries from an accident?
The short answer to that is, yes.
It's really important to know that you can get compensation for time off from work because
of your injuries from an accident, because a lot of people don't realize this and because
of that, they don't keep track.
The only way that you can get that compensation if you bring an injury claim is if you're
keeping track of the time that you miss from work because of your injuries an accident.
And basically your time off work can be divided into two categories. It can be the first category,
where you just miss time because you can't actually or physically perform your work.
So if you hurt your leg, and you can't actually go to work, and you have to take days off
because you can't physically perform your job, you're going to want to keep track of
that. But then the other time that you're also going to want to keep track of is time
that you have to take off from work to go to appointments, whether it's doctor's appointments
or physical therapy or massage therapy or what. You're going to want to keep track of
that time as well because that's also time that you can get compensated for. And some
people even have to take a sick leave or they have to take vacation time to see these appointments,
so you're going to want to make sure you keep track of everything, of all the time that
you're missing from work because of these injuries from an accident.
