Okay, so I'm ready to start pinning this all around 3/4 of an inch up. But before I do
that, I'm going to just take a quick look on the inside. And I'm sure you've already
noticed, that the cuff has interfacing all the way around it, its been ironed in. And
mine ends just about 3/4 of an inch down, so I feel real comfortable when I fold it
over, that I'm still going to have some stability and some stiffness around the cuff that's
going to keep it- give it a nice sharp look. But if you find that you have to hem yours
a little bit further up, and you don't have any interfacing, like on top or behind, you
might want to go in and just iron some interfacing in before you get started hand sewing all
this. But for this project, we don't even have to worry about that, so we'll just go
on and start pinning this up. And I have my chalk mark at 3/4 of an inch, and I'm just
going to put a few pins in here. And these are just because I'm going to iron this sleeve
before I even get started on hand sewing it. I like to make sure that everything is right
where I want it, before I spend the time to hand sew this thing together. Lets see, I
think I might need two more pins, and that will be good. There we go. Okay, so now we
have it all pinned up. Don't even worry about this lining. I'm just going to stick it inside
there, and we'll worry about marking it and cutting it and all that stuff after we have
this placket shaped and ironed and sewn. Okay, so this is what it looks like. And I think
in the next clip, we'll be ready to apply an iron to this, and get all laid perfectly
and smoothly, so we can use our little hand needle and sew this all together.
