Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen... Evening, morning, wherever you are. Whenever.
...I can't do time.
Anyway, welcome back. My name's Tim Fisher.
You may have seen my
aborted Mass Effect 2 series...
It didn't work out really well for anyone; I've already played that before. But this is
Crysis. This is my first time through it, never touched this before.
So we'll see how this goes... First, I'll actually make a profile.
I... don't see graphics settings anywhere.
'Aight, let's get this show on the road.
I'm gonna go with easy.
I, uh...
I play games for the story, and
the enjoyment, not because
I feel the need to...
Anyway, easy it is.
I'm also sometimes bad at games.
[suit] Maximum speed.
[suit] Maximum strength. Pretty decent for... what, 2007 graphics?
Much better than the original Mass Effect, anyway.
So basically this guy's Master Chief, only more customizable.
Yay, loading screen... I hate to think how long this would take if
I didn't have my computer upgraded.
I'll be out of time for actual gameplay by the time this gets loaded up.
Where's the ANY key?
Ominous text...
This is doctor Helena Rosenthal of the IAS research team stationed on the Lingshan Islands. We...
...the North Koreans have assumed control... They're rounding up civilians outside!
...They found something, buried in the rock.
This discovery could change the future of the planet.
The Koreans don't know what they're dealing with. [cough] Please...
Well, that's not ominous at all.
[Jester] Hey Nomad, you still with us?
[Prophet] Ok, listen up, gentlemen.
Intel reports a significant military presence on the island.
We have the element of surprise so let's use it.
The North Koreans can't know we're here.
[Psycho] They won't even know what hit 'em!
[Prophet] Can it, Psycho! Pay attention, this is a covert operation.
Our job is to locate and evacuate. We're not at war here.
[Psycho] Not yet.
[Jester] Prophet, do we even know if these people are still alive?
[Prophet] That's what we're here to find out.
We lost contact with doctor Rosenthal a week ago.
The Korean military lock down the island.
Two days ago, we picked up a distress signal from the teams research vessel.
Someone down there wants to be found.
All right, gear up. Masks on.
[Prophet] Once we clear the plane, form up on me.
'Chutes on my mark.
Go, go, go!
[Aztec] So, JSOC's got us chasing archaeologists now? This'll be a cakewalk.
[Prophet] OpComm's been moved to the USS Constitution.
'Til they're 5x5, we're on our own.
[Nomad] My chute's gone. My damn chute is gone!
I've got no main, no reserve.
I'm ok, I'm ok. But my HUD's scrambled.
What the hell was that?
[Prophet] I dunno, but you missed the LZ. Make your way to the beach.
[Nomad] On my way.
[Jester] Did ANYONE hit the LZ?
[Nomad] Prophet, I made it to the beach.
[Prophet] You hit the water pretty hard.
Some of your suit functions are off-line, let me run a quick diagnostic.
BK: Yay, tutorial. [Prophet] Your video feed is breaking up, I'm gonna try to recalibrate.
The North Koreans have illegally occupied an island in the Phillipines, blah blah blah...
So, uh... yeah.
Standard civilian grab.
And... that's actually time, I gotta pause it now. Sorry there was no real action in this one.
Hope to see you guys again soon.
