This is assisting a smaller defender against a bigger defender to get the rebound. What's
happening here is he's a smaller player against a larger defensive player. I'm on his team.
I'm going to assist him by getting the ball--I mean help him get the ball by boxing him out.
So I'll I'm doing is sacrificing my body so he can go around and get the basketball. That's
what's going to happen here. It's understanding that I'm not going to get the ball. So when
he shoots the ball, hopefully he makes the shot, but if he doesn't, that's a communication
because I don't have to say anything or even look at him. When he realizes that I'm boxing
him out and push back, he realizes that I'm sacrificing for him to get the rebound. Okay,
so in that instance is just a total teammate allowing for another smaller teammate to get
his rebound and bring the offense--restart the offense. There we go. And that's how you'll
assist a smaller teammate getting a rebound against a larger defender.
