bjbj Announcer: The David Pakman Show at www.DavidPakman.com. David Pakman: Hey, welcome to the show, David
Pakman here. So much to get to today. We're going to talk about student loans, we'll be
talking about the two-party system, we'll be talking about all the crazy emails I'm
getting from people, and some pretty regular ones as well. Of course, our website, www.DavidPakman.com.
If you're listening live, you can call in to the show, 219-2DAVIDP. 219 is the area
code. That's the whole number. Some people tell me, Louis, they get confused by the number,
but the entire number is 219-2DAVIDP. That's straightforward, isn't it? Louis Motamedi:
I think so. David: Louis, the new thing with Louis is he doesn't talk into the mic. He
likes to stay, you know, two to three feet away from the microphone so nobody can really
hear him. Louis: Unfortunately, I have to type on this keyboard, which is kind of hard
to do when I'm dodging a microphone. David: Right. We've been getting a lot of feedback
about the Sarah Palin's daughter... Sarah Palin's daughter's homophobic rant segment
that we did last Thursday. I've been getting probably two to three emails a day since we
did that a few days ago from conservatives saying you're just picking on a little girl.
It's irrelevant, the fact that Sarah Palin's daughter used the six-letter F-word, the derogatory
term for a gay or lesbian person, it doesn't matter. You're just picking on a little girl,
you're being petty, you are... it's not a reflection of Sarah Palin that she... that
Willow Palin or whatever her name is, I've already blocked the story out mostly, Louis,
it doesn't matter. It's completely irrelevant, it doesn't reflect on Sarah Palin. And you
know what I have to say, Louis? Just... Louis: Well, if we thought it was irrelevant, we
wouldn't have played... we wouldn't have talked about it. David: Well, but people still have
the right to their opinion. But what I'm saying is just imagine if Obama's daughters had said
that during the campaign or if they said it now, if it got out that on their Facebook
accounts, one of Barack Obama's daughters used that word, or if they used the word,
I don't know, if they used any word, if they used the word "cracker", who knows what? Every
single one of these conservatives that's emailing me would be saying, "Hey, it's a reflection
of how they're being raised in Barack Obama's household," and, "We need to figure out is
this what they're being taught by Barack and Michelle Obama?" You know that that would
be the case, Louis. This is a complete double-standard. If you think it's not important, hey, then
don't let it affect your opinion of Sarah Palin. Fine. But to say that what a politician's
kids say is completely irrelevant and not worth discussion in the context of is it a
reflection of what's going on in the household, give me a break, Louis. I mean, come on! Do
you agree that if it was Barack Obama's daughters this would be front-page news? Louis: Of course.
David: No question about it. So every single one of these conservatives who emailed me,
and some not conservative, you know that if the tables were turned and we didn't talk
about it, you'd be saying hey, that's liberal bias, it's liberal media, you're not going
to talk about anything that would make Obama or his kids look bad. No question about it.
