Alright I am here with Joe.
Good Sir, How are you?
Good.
Give me a little bit about what you put into this car and why you brought it here.
Actually there's a funny story behind it.
In 2006, my wife bought a yellow one 2006 5 Speed.
We took it to another series opening race and I did a burn out contest and I burnt the
paint so bad that when I got back to Houston she told me after you fix it you have to go
get your own car.
So we went and bought this and it's been a 3-4 year project and made a complete transformation
it's been 3 different superchargers.
The factory supercharger comes with about a 12 ounce inner cooler bucket.
The problem is for a lot of street driving, it gets hot.
To keep intake air temps down, we went with this big 10 gallon fuel cell that we turned
into an inner cooler bucket.
So I can add a 40 pound bag of ice here and it keeps it nice and cool, keeps the ITs down
and still makes power.
But for the drag racing we do, some tracks are better than others.
To compensate for that, we had to weld in some bars back here and we went back to my
rounding round days and kind of did a Grade A bolt on a spinner and we can put regular
barbell weights back here so that we can add weight so it helps the car settle down on
the track and the launch so we can get going.
Let me point out here a good part of this competition is what have you done different
and custom fabricated yourself to make your car unique and different.
This by far and wide is at the top of the list there.
Something that I noticed that you pointed out earlier, one of the only cars you will
see here, and maybe we can get a zoomed in shot.
Whats that in the middle of the window there?
That's my EZ Tag.
Down in Houston where I'm from we actually have toll roads and you have to have a little
EZ tag because there are no booths to throw your coins in or give a dollar to.
There's no better proof that this is a street driven car.
Joe has put a lot of time into this, as he has been telling us over the past couple days
and, as you can see, it's definitely a unique mustang especially for the competition here
today.
I certainly wish you all the luck, it's a great looking car.
I appreciate it, I think I brought a knife to a gun fight but we're going to do our best
and try to put on a good show.
Thats what we're here for.
I appreciate it Joe.
