The web of science contains articles from 10,000 journals.
So there's quite a bit of information inside.
However most of the articles are from English language journals and there is a US bias.
Also, the Web of Science only includes citations from articles.
Books, dissertations and theses, patents and other kinds of literature are not included in the database.
This means that an article you're trying to search for...
might be cited by someone who wrote a book but you wouldn't find that information...
in the Web of Science. This doesn't mean the Web of Science is not a great research tool.
It does mean that if you want to determine everyone who's cited a particular article...
you might want to take a look at other citation searching tools like Google Scholar or Scopus.
Both of which, are available on the library website.
