After having graduated from the university Mr. Noda is looking for a job.
I'm sorry but we don't have any available job.
But there might be something if you really insist...
A work as a receptionist. Do you want to give it a try?
I thank you but I just graduated from the university.
Furious, Mr Noda is going back home.
You have visitors from your region.
Oh, it's you!
Since you wrote us that you had found a job
we couldn't wait to see you.
It's hard to live alone and Machiko really wanted to come...
Tea, please.
I told them that I found a job, so you've got to play the game, understood?
The next morning...
At what time to you start working?
I can take a day off.
Let's go for a walk in Tokyo.
It's important to be serious at the beginning.
Go to work. Machiko will show me Tokyo.
Mr Noda work place.
Two or three days later,
Mr Noda became the friend of the children, and the mother, relieved, went back to the village.
Hurry up, you're going to be late, darling.
I have a day off today.
But it's not sunday nor a public holiday...
Sunday everyday
For me it's sunday everyday.
To tell you the truth, I haven't found a job yet.
I only wanted the mother to rest assured.
Days go by
without Mr Noda finding a job he likes.
There's almost no money left from what the mother gave us.
The next afternoon.
But where were you? I'm looking for you since this morning.
I finally found a job,
until you get an interview.
I know that it's the fashion
but don't you have too much make-up?
One day, Mr Noda is invited by a friend to have a drink...
I have to go.
I just remembered I had an important matter to settle.
You, an important matter?
Later, the same evening.
Good evening. Aren't you in bed yet?
Stop looking at me like that.
Nobody ever asked you
to work in a place like that!
Nobody!
I thought it was a solution to make things easier for us.
The mother shouldn't be worried.
I have been too lazy.
The next morning...
I'll really find a job today
I made a decision.
I'll take the job as a receptionist.
You look like you suffered a lot.
Forget our former offer. Be our fulltime employee.
I found one! I found one!
I found a wonderful job!
By a beautiful morning,
she watches her husband leaving for his first day at work.
I GRADUATED, BUT...
THE END
