the talking frog is a very very dynamic paper toy. you need a square piece of paper and
a long strip. take the square and first fold the mid line. open it and fold two triangles
to make a slant roof. fold the roof down. then upturn the paper and shut both the doors
so that the short edges come and meet at the mid line. now once again two small triangles
so as to make a small slant roof. open it up and then make these criss cross folds.
now you just need to lift a small triangle to make the right eye of the frog. similarly
lift the left triangle to make the left eye of the frog. the frog is slowly evolving and
taking shape. upturn the frog double up the mandible to make a lower and an upper jaw..
you can see that the face is now emerging. take a strip of paper, fold it thrice so that
its thickness is just 1/2 cm. folding the strip will also make it slightly stiff. then
double the frog and with the scissors make a small slit. open the frog and now weave
your strip of paper first through the slit and then up until it reaches the nose of the
frog. push the strip up. now your frog is ready, make the eyes which will brighten up
the face. view the frog from all angles. the lower mandible, the upper mandible, the strip.
this is the side view, this is the back view. hold the rim portion and gently pull the strip
and you will find that the frog talks. the lower mandible opens and closes. frog is saying..halo..how
are you?
