In spite of the weather,
Te Aurere and Ngaahiraka are back on track as they head for Rapanui.
The wind put one of the waka hourua off course in a northerly direction,
but as this map shows,
they're now back on track heading east towards Rapanui.
But as Jack Thatcher told us earlier today,
it's not just the weather that's causing them problems.
The devices we use to keep this ship in contact with Te Aurere —
the batteries of Te Aurere's device have been damaged.
The voyage to Rapanui is expected to take between six to eight weeks.
