Hey You Tube, This is WillsGirl2005, today I'm doing a protective style called a Bulls
eye Knot twisted updo. Im just spraying my hair with a little water. I was wearing my
hair in a puff for a few days, and now I'm parting my hair for the style. As usual I'm
just parting from ear to ear, all the way across the crown of my head. I'm twisting
the extra hair, so that it can be out of my way on the top while I work on the back twists.
Now here's the complicated part- how am I gonna get what's IN my head, ON my head? I've
had this idea for a while and I didn't know how I could get it to work as a style, but,
I think I've figured it out. So Im just parting my hair down the center from crown to nape,
and now I'm parting my hair into 4 sections across the middle from the top of my ear all
the across, so that it looks like 4 squares in the back of my head. Now I'm taking each
of those sections and I'm splitting it into 2, at an diagonal angle. Leaving the top corner
sectionout and the bottom section out, I'm going to connect those 2 sections together
in a criss cross fashion. So I'm just twisting those sections that I'm not using right now
out of the way. using my Eco Styler Gel I'm going to gel each side of this sections, and
then I begain to twist to the scalp. Each section will be meeting up at the middle point,
the " bulls eye" in the center, of the back of my head. Im going to leave that twist loose
on the end, until I twist the second section of that bottom half and merge them together.
Now that I've gottne to the end of that second section, I'm justtwisting those two together,
crossing them overand them each part thats facing the top section, Im going to continue
that twist on the top section, one on each side. When I finish the twist I just secure
it with a rubber band. There it is- one section done, criss crossed over the other. Now I'm
going to continue that on the next 2 sections, on the other side, top and bottom. I split
the 2 sections in half, meeting at a point in the middle of my head. I gel both sides
of the first part of that section. I twist it going up, when I get to the middle, I stop,
and twist the left over hair of that section. I try to make sure that I gel it very well
, so that It will look very smooth, and the parts will stay neatly separated from one
another. Now I get to the end of the 2nd section and I cross over the 2 twists. Meeting in
the middle, I decided to put a little clip there to keep my center knot. I separate the
ends of those twists, and add one part to the top of that section and one part to the
bottom. Then I twist it into 2 separate twists. ( Music Plays)
So Just like all the others, whe I get to the end of the twists, I secure it with a
rubber band. Now I'm parting my hair for my twists on the front. I'm doing 2 sections
of twists on the sides, and a few indiviual two strand twists in the middle. I've done
twists a zillion times on my channel, and you've seen it, so you know what I'm doing.
( Music Plays)
( music Plays) So this time instead of securing the ends
of these twists with rubber bands of bobby pins, I'm twisting them all the way to the
ends. I do this for about 4 or 5 twists in the front. I'm adding some whipped Gelly to
the ends, so that they'll saty moisturized and If I decide to take them aloose they will
still look good and be frizz free. ( Music Plays)
Okay, so I'm done with my flat twists in the front of my head, so Its on to my individual
two strand twists in the middle. I'm adding some of my Cocasta Shikakai oil from HairVeda,
so that my twists will stay moisturized and have a little shine to them. So I'm adding
that along with the Whipped Gelly. My twists are done and now its time to pin up my updo.
So I just take each side with the flat twists and gather them, folding them across the back
and pin them in place. Then I separate my two strand twists into 3 sections and I pin
curl them down into small pompadours and pin them into place.
( Music Plays)
In the front, Im just stacking the twists on top of each other. I'm deciding if I'm
going to leave them out for a ***. This could be an option for the hairstyle, or you could
just pin it up, so that it can be a true protective style. Its a no fuss hair do after this, so
this is the style basically. I hope you enjoyed it. I tied my hair up with a scarf and let
it set and I wore it for about a week. I hope you enjoyed this style, and I'll see ya next
time! OH But wait! Its count down time too... Black Friday! If you have a wish list for
