Hello everybody! Finally I’m here with a new video.
First of all I want to apologize for the long absence from this channel but recently I was too busy to do new videos.
I take the opportunity of this video to tell you some important news.
First of all, finally I’m working on my art book ,I contacted an editor who’s really interested in publish my artworks.Momently I’ll not tell you the name of the editor.
But I can give you some info about the book.Well the book should collect 50/60 artworks only of my full body Pin Up and maybe some sketches on the last pages.
The main goal of the Editor is to show my full body works. There will be mostly new artworks never shown on Facebook or other social networks.
And maybe some works with more than a girl who play together…you know what i mean…
If I can,but I should talk with the editor I would like to add 2 or 3 pages with my sketches,I think this is a good idea.
I hope to collect all the artworks for this summer,I know I’ve a lot of work to do especially because my full body works take a lot of time,1 week for the simple ones but around 10 days for the more detailed Pin Up.
The other big news,is that I would like to start expose my artworks on some conventions, maybe one of the better is the *** Expo in London,I think it’s perfect for the theme of my works.
I would like also to expose in Lucca Comics in Italy but probably the staff don’t allow to show my kind of artworks.Anyway I’ll try to get some info about that.
I don’t know if is better to expose now or wait the release of the art book but maybe is better wait a little bit to have more merchandise to sell and show.
Ok those was the biggest news!
Now I want to make a big thank you to all the people who left a comment or liked an artwork I uploaded recently on Facebook. The name I called “Keep Drawing”.
The artwork was the one where I showed one of my first Pin Up I did in 2006 with pencils (a really awful artwork) next to the artwork I did for Sylvia Saint.
Thank you so much, really! The artwork reached around 700 like and it was shared 50 times I would like to thank you one by one.
I appreciate all the comments, but especially those of people who have seen in the image a reason to work harder.
What I want to say some years ago I was not a good artist (well I’ve still a lot of work to do before become a good artist) in 2006 my artworks was really awful.
In 6 or 7 years my artworks improved a lot,yes I started work with pencils in these two years, before I was a digital artist.
But what I want to say to all of you,Is trying to draw everyday, this is what I did when I restarted drawing with pencils.
I remember I was looking for images on internet, images of people or models and then I started make sketches in the shorts possible time, not more than 1 hour for a sketch.
Initially the result was not really good but but my aim was to be faster and learn the anatomy of the face.
Now after hundreds sketches I can draw a face quickly, like you can see in this video.
At the same time my style evolved spontaneously,I did not say to myself :” I must try to find a style” but simply the style now is an evolution of my sketches with all those angles and straight lines.
The style evolved spontaneously, one day I watched my artworks and say: “Hey take a look, every time I try to draw a face I can see this geometrical shape”.
So if you want really to improve your skills, try to draw everyday also for 30 minutes and you will get great results!
Now another important thing I want to say is that some weeks ago one of my images has been reported…one of my censored artworks…I was sorry to delete the drawings because was one of the most important I did.
And then Facebook blocked my profile for 24H probably the next time the staff will deactivate my profile for a month.
So now I’ll pay more attention to censore correctly my artworks, anyway for the one who want to see my uncensored artworks you can find them on the other social networks.
Unfortunately this is the Facebook policy, and I should respect it but I don’t understand why the staff allow to show images with violence contents.
Maybe they think is less “shattering” for a child blood and gore than a nude girls!
Fortunately there are other social networks like twitter or tumblr where I can post my uncensored artworks.
Now I want to tell you a little bit about my next full body Pin Up.
The model will be the *** Actress Remy Lacroix that I discovered recently on the web,I’ll do before some sketches to study her face and then I’ll work on the full body Pin Up.
Probably this new Pin Up will be a full nude artwork,I’ve not in mind the theme or the pose yet.
Unfortunately I can’t do video of my full body Pin Up because is a too long operation,so is easier for my produce video of my sketches.
Maybe I’ll try to do some video where I show how I draw latex, anyway if I’ve some free time today or tomorrow,I’ll try to do a video of the sketch of Remy Lacroix.
I’ll try to do a more detailed sketch, maybe not only of her face but maybe also of the torso,I’ll use always the same kind of paper, the Strathmore Grey Toned Paper.
I really like this kind of paper and it’s great for this kind of sketches especially if you use white pastels,I’ll try to upload the video for the next week anyway before Christmas.
Obviously feel free to leave me here or on FB all the questions you have in mind I’ll try to reply quickly on the next video!
I always try to be clear when I explain my technique the pencil I use are the Steadtler Lumograph, they are really great but I used also Derwent in the past.
Usually the pencils are 2H for outlines and shadow then F,H,B and the softer like 2B for eyer,in this work I used also a 5B because the paper tone was darker.
As you can see I use a paper tissue to blend the pencils and a blender tool for smaller area like eyes and mouth.
I think I said all for this video! Remember that I reached the limit of friend request on Facebook so if you want to keep in touch with me you can “like” my fan page.
Bye Bye and remember…KEEP DRAWING!!!!!!!
Anyway you can find all the links to my pages into the description or directly at the end of the video!
