hiking grant albers and have recently about this great piece about happiness
in your twenties verses happiness in your forties and she wrote this piece in
the atlantic and i thought it was a really great description of how
happiness differs based on you know which
age group you're experiencing so she talks about two different types of
motivation there's promotion uh... motivation and there's prevention
innovation
twenties you're more likely experience promotion motivation where you feel like
you're on the top of the world uh... you're never gonna die and you can do
anything you want you can rule the planet right
on but once you get your forties you kind of get to a point where you realize
just want to preserve what i have going for me now
yeah it's incredibly sad
so the sinuses everett socket like this piece is because jack and i represent
uh... you know
both its troops on the night when you say is it's forty really
yeah tom but but
in this doesn't really apply to you
these enzymes that i'm uh... well-known shiver jobs and it looked like it puts a
republican of story uh...
no you look at the sa will differ in this case
uh...
i sought out of the planet
uh... amendment conferee
step book book so god bless us great for me i a m abut
but there is a part of the article worth what it really made a kind of set
straight uh... where she says but when i was in my twenties
part of my one day
feelings or rationing ecstasy
and so that you know you one of partying inkatha will be in that sense to writing
and then when i'm in my forties successful relax
and you know more about the re did not have
by seven-year-old screening in the job i got to do it so that
that party could really relate to a long party in my twenties
miami et cetera et cetera we had a great time
now like i would have allowed public enemy part anyway would
when people do there
clicking
for maybe i can have a conversation of neutral
youth
hijacking the um... propriety like that would be the case for you in your
twenties as well and i live in the middle of the time and i think it here
but it but at least that you know
tuesday contents
with meant so much but mel i want to get out there and i'd say clubs three four
five in the morning of several miami
now mike all my god that i'd have to get up its six and what kind of slavery i
get in
according to the senate rose it as well the next is that ok right about this is
an again but i think it does look like a lot of people twenty experience
you have these great goals of these great ambitions when you're younger and
you think that you're capable of doing anything
and then life comes at you and he just wants you around and then you realize on
my god and not to be the richest person be i'm not going to be the most
successful person
the all of the goals that i had are completely irrelevant and michael most
obsolete now
you know any kind of real life
and average person and there's nothing that really sets me apart from anyone
else and just kind of let go of those goals and then you're in your forties
you're married and you have kids that everything's been dot mr it
you created by the boys dire
terrible status they were ever is not that bad having kids and lots of other
mula interest
tonight a nightline i have happiness
it is an even if you do not need conquering the planet is a totally
different in great programs
look union reluctant country one buzz when you're
all the time stream want less and hopefully that will amplify
without having to conquer the planet but finding your portion of the planet you
like
and you do that in your family need a job that you hope
you kind of enjoyed doing and and that you excel at
and that's not so bad framing interception is so interesting because
your perception of the articles very different from my perception like as i
read it
you get older you start lowering your standards because you realize that your
goals unattainable
but i think that that partly because that's not who i am maybe talk about
life slapping you're out merrill at this time you i'd slap wiper
no music cover for me i'm coming for a ok but etc etc burned out by the way
pakulak outlines a kidding because
live is very than any of us reunion carlos made you want and get run over by
a bus tomorrow
when you're gone
will anydvd you got my figured out
but that that is gonna be surprised that work for you
very very soon
but what it doesn't mean that
look did speak you should
you know that the future said that when i know that's partly what she was
getting out the downside of wood
of forty eight perp indian
was
like this slowly giving up on your dreams of course i'm makan agreement
that weiss's
maybe we get even if like you know i'm forty three right
average life expectancy decide at work
thirty-five years left thirty-five years isn't sure
and amount of time to do it on the livable amount of thirty-five years
insistent training period of time
units that makes me really sad don't have the same against uh... we might
have a lot less than that you never know
of article gotta get set in here
but with all the
romero never a never ending i checked antiaircraft yes i wouldn't take over
the entire world of twenty two
than we do it
stressed because you have the whole world
to rule repairs there's always missile defense in there
but commenting or twenty five years old
may go to maintain the world is in control
might be more stressful than just so far
make a world is not only
this in joy in life
ex-army it's once in a spot recovery very stressful will talk about that dot
i watched last night these guys it around these companies
they have to think of a new way to destroy the world second continue to
make
billions of dollars no stress even open-end support like
someone with a hundred million dollars
anyone slaps them his rival implant overnight
when hank greenberg
so sorry and i was wiped out enough i was out of a hundred million dollars
realize all my god somebody's dollars that's like seven years old and he's
still unhappy
yes
army he's in
miserable at seventy years old 'cause he's got a hundred million up
