Jabroni Jabber 40 Love him or hate him, Batista ain’t going
nowhere. Yaaay… Big Dave Batista’s return to the WWE isn’t
working out quite as everyone hoped. Amidst the new trend of WWE live crowds hijacking
shows, the yes movement and the distraction of CM Punk’s disappearing act, The Animal’s
homecoming has seemingly been lost among the fans.
The trouble started before Batista even stepped foot back in the ring, when WWE’s advertising
teased Batista at a future event. Some in the IWC say it was done on purpose, while
others argue that it was a careless mistake that cost the 4 time heavyweight Champion
the element of surprise. Things would only get worse after he clinched
the Royal Rumble, granting him a title shot at Wrestlemania 30. The fans in attendance
were hostile, sparking Batista to mock and flip off the crowd and allegedly threatened
to snap a fan in half. Now that the former Evolution member has been
booked in a feud with Del Rio (or as I like to call it…the kiss of death) headed into
the Elimination Chamber, what little momentum he had headed into the main event at Mania
30 will have been lost. And with tell tale signs like not being mentioned on Raw until
the second hour of the broadcast, and the crowd popping louder for nearly everyone else…
is Batista’s lukewarm reception a result of bad booking or his own bad behavior?
