We are in Swahiliwood in Tanzania, to become movie stars.
They don't do auditions here, so the only way to be discovered is to be a part of a theatre group.
We are now real members of such a group.
We have not got any movie roles in Tanzania yet, but we continue to dance and act at the theater center.
Jacob Stevens, or JB, is one of the biggest and most famous movie stars in Tanzania.
He has done 47 movies, such as "Senior Bachelor", "Innocent Case", "Tanzanite" and "Well Done My Son" 1, 2 and 3.
He is also a well-known producer and director.
Now the train is moving Now we are rolling.
Next day, we met up with JB himself. While we waited for him, he showed up on the TV-screen.
A lot of people ask us what are we working with. If we are actors and such.
I feel it is a bit difficult to say no.
If they ask us about those things, we have to make up stuff. And we can't say we are just comedians. We won't get a chance.
They can't check it. Let's say we have played in all kinds of things.
Which movies have you done?
"Ni liv", "Dødens på Oslo S" In English. "Nine lives", "Death on the Central Station", "Olsen band Jr" 1, 2 but not 3.
I played in Haze. (A Norwegian movie called "DIS") By Aune Sand? Yes
This is JB. He came directly from a film festival.
Here is our man, two days ago at an award show. I feel we have found the right man.
This is no ***
At the same time Magnus has got a part in a street play.
Now I´m on my way to my first own task, without Bård and Vegard.
I have got an assignment from the theatre group we have been a part of. Now the ball is rolling.
I don't know what kind of role I will get, but it´s about an African marriage.
I will play it with four local actors. It´s a comedy.
While Magnus is doing his thing, we got to know the title of our film, it´s fantastic.
Even if it sounds like an action film, it´s about something completely different.
Namely a notoriously unfaithful woman. One of us is going to play her lover.
We just got a new scene.
The street play is about an African marriage, where the woman (Magnus) has been beaten by the husband.
Even if it's a serious subject, it will be performed as a comedy.
We do it scene by scene, and make things up as we go along. Just the fact that I play a woman, it will be a success no matter what.
