Hi I’m Stephen Potts, a commercial photographer from Belfast. It’s my job to make my clients’
products and services memorable and desirable in order to increase their sales. I am going
to give you a few tips now on how to do this.
It is well known that a picture speaks a thousand words. The trick comes in translating this
into sales, by creating the aspiration to buy. To do this you need to consider what
you are trying to sell, as well as who buys it, why they buy it, where they buy it and
when they are going to buy it.
So, if it is a cold drink you want to sell, you could simply show a drink. Or you could
show a picture of a situation with which people can identify – maybe a group having fun
while sharing a drink, friends with whom our audience feel a connection because the image
is designed to welcome the viewer as a participant.
Unlike generic library images these carefully thought-out and planned images get results
through demographic and regional relevance. In other words we’re selling your product
to your market. So thanks for listening and if you want to find out a bit more visit stephenpotts.co.uk.
