Hello! I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm here today to show you how to
put together a werewolf costume.
Once we're in the thrift store, what type of clothes are we looking for exactly? We've
already gone over the benefits of a thrift store, but that's nothing to say about colors,
contrast, shapes, and cuts. Now, I'm going to go over a couple suggestions. I often times
give advice for werewolves totally different than I suggest for zombies or other gules,
where for those I have the clothing as pretty sedated and mooded. For werewolves, I actually
like to throw in some color, so for the shirts a good flannel shirt will often times get
it done for you. Why exactly is flannel so important? Flannel will usually have like
a nice color contrast. This you have green and red, which will kind of be a nice contrasting
effect itself over the werewolf where you have brown furry hands extending from the
wrists. Likewise for the pants. Because the werewolf is clothed, you can still give more
of a kind of a natural werewolf feel if you have a shade of brown, or an otherwise warm
color in the pants. I've often seen blue jeans work okay, but sometimes those can provide
even a little bit too much of a contrast. In general, go for a warmer, brighter flannel
for a shirt and a nice brown for pants.
