CL: OK we've got Nubijuki joining us for a post-game interview. Welcome Nubijuki. How
are you feeling after that win? Nubijuki: Well, it's kind of special win 'cause
it was playing against our -my previous team CoR. It was a pleasure to play against them.
Also I hope you appreciate that end because I did.
Eman: That was --we love the ending. Hello Nubijuki and that was awesome.
CL: Yeah it was a great ending. Eman: That match AND the fistfight that you
won. Did you practice the fist fighting? Nubijuki: Well erm,
Eman: -you weren't tired? Nubijuki: Do you mean in real life?
Eman: No oh, you know what? You weren't tired CL: Eman let me just say quickly. Eman make
sure you turn Nubijuki up so he's audible on the stream just in case.
Eman: Oh I'm sorry yes, I'll make sure of this.
CL: Make sure people can hear him. Is that done?
Eman: Soon enough. No we're ust making you loud man so the people can hear what you've
got to say. Nubijuki: Alright. Tell me when I can play
-I-I can speak. Eman: Yeah you can speak whenever man. Who
has to ask permission to speak? CL: Let's go for it, I think we're good so-
so you're happy with the win then? You're pleased you- you got that in the end?
Nubijuki: Well actually mmm well you know first Renegades came back for WNL more for
fun. And we get *** by Saracens and i -it made be pretty angry
(Eman laughs) Nubijuki: So I said myself and several Renegades:
"OK guys we have to get back and win it, we got to back on your feets and the next match
is against CoR, we've got to win it. We got to get prepared". And that's what we did.
Nubijuki: I didn't expect uhh.. such a close map -match I mean because we really prepared
it well and CoR gave us really hard time. Eman: Did it seem, or did you prepare more
for one map than the other? Because you guys kinda -didn't find your way on the Nord map.
Nubijuki: Yeah that's true well uhh... we have been trying some not-that-much-orginal
tactics on Nord Town but uh, you know when people playing on Nord town on training match
they are not that much uh trying to match some original maps uh, tactics so... we have
been taken by surprise they have been using that great alley a lot and... honestly we
were not prepared today's. Eman: Were you the undefeated team or was
it the other guys? Nubijuki: No
CL: Neither team was undefeated, both teams were on 6 points.
Eman: You guys came from a loss right? Nubijuki: Yeah
Eman: Oh so that made you guys rally stronger to...
CL: You guys, you say you were surprised it was such a close match. Were you expecting
CoR to be more of a pushover? Nubijuki: Well ah mm... yeah. Actually-
(Eman laughs) Eman: "I thought the other team SUCKED"
(CL Laughs) Nubijuki: No- not what I said but -- I mean
we prepared a lot that match and I expected some more success -- and, well we didn't -- and
I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed with this. The thing is uh CoR played really well
-- ah -- at least on Nord Town, take us by surprise and that what make Warband a great
game. CL: So you think it was a case of CoR playing
better rather than you guys playing bad? Nubijuki: Mmm no
(CL Laughs) CL: You think you guys played bad as well?
Nubijuki: Thing is, uh you know. Playing in training matches and official matches -- totally
different- CL: - of course
Nubijuki: There is the pressure and such. So um, well I can' say perhaps uh if I see
uh the streaming I'll be able to tell you what's were wrong but you know, when you are
in the match you're focused on what's gonna happen next. As I'm leading the team uh -- I
don't have time to spend on what were wrong on previous uh round and I often just what's
going ah -- what's going next. CL: You meantioned using the streaming. Do
-- do you use the stream as uh, like a tool for analysis, post-game analysis -- anything
like that? To improve your- Nubijuki: Yeah, yeah -- I do I- I love people
streaming our matches because it allow me to see what's were wrong, what I need to improve
in the teamplay, the tactics such uhh. CL: Well that's great to hear that -- we're
very pleased to help then. Nubijuki: That's how we improve.
CL: Eman, go ahead. Eman: What do you practice? 'Cause I saw you
guys like -- you versus CoR, you guys seemed to postition you're -- you used your time
more wisely in positioning people in preparation for fights in good posititons like -- you
guys have like call areas on the map and like? Nubijuki: Well uh, I actually yeah. Uh...
I think the preparation, at least in the tactic, is very important. People have to know where
they have to be and how to use these positions so that's why we have to make a lot of training
matches. To -to -to get people used to it, you know the more experienced you are in your
position the more efficient you're gonna be. And, the thing is with all those new maps
-- like Mountain Fortress, Fort of Honour -- and these are maps we never played before
so we have to make as much training as we can on the maps, so we can understand better
the dynamic of the map and uh build some better -- or, at least, more adaptive tactics.
CL: Err, staying on the topic of the maps then, do you think that they've been a benefit
to the scene and the competition overall? Or do you think it's too much for teams to
have to do to -to work to? Nubijuki: Well at least it's a lot of stuff
-- uh a lot of work for me but uh I -I do like it. It's pretty nice to see those new
maps -- especially I really liked uhh... Fort of Honour and Mountain Fortress. Uhh these
maps were really, really good in my opinion uhh-
Eman: -Fort of Honour? That one's with the stream and the little rock-
CL: -with the -- yeah it was yeah yeah... Eman: Oh yeah that's a good one I agree.
Nubijuki: I really like this map -also mm the thing is uh the community is improving
at the same time of times and making some new maps uh, trying them, testing them, it
permit people to understand what kind of maps are the best-
Eman: Little mistake CL: OK guys well Nubijuki
Eman: Have Nubijuki with us CL: -sorry if that inconvenience for you,
we are back now- Nubijuki: Yeah, yeah.
CL: Apologies guys, um. Err let me f- let me just say quickly um Nubijuki I want to
ask you a few last questions. Er, how do you feel about your own performance in that -- in
that match. Nubijuki: Well er I expec- I expected better
from us but- CL: -no your personal performance as in err-
Nubijuki: -my personal performance? Well I'd say I was pretty uh comfortable- comfortable
on the first map 'cause tactics were going pretty well so... no stress but uh CoR take
us by surprise on the second map so I had to- to think fast but what, how to adapt us
on the uhh on the enemy tactic and so I was less focused on... my own gameplay so I'd
say I played pretty well on the first map and not that good on the second one.
CL: I think we thought you played really well throughout-
Eman: -Nubijuki, do yo- do you pick horseman because you're the captain and you get to
do it? (Laughs)
Eman: Like how do you decide that? Because you were consistently on a horse- it's like-
Nubijuki: -yeah that's right that's my main class I- I love playing as cav, uhmm work
out firstly uh well you know I- I was playing on the solo mode firstly so I- I'd say most
of the people are probab- Eman: Yeah
Nubijuki: -m- most of the people are playing cav on the single mode but...
Eman: -I actually, I didn't see you guys rock much cav...
Nubijuki: Well uhh CL: -I think it's pretty normal for those
maps. Sort of two cav. They're not really cav-strong maps I don't think.
Nubijuki: Also the- the faction are not the best cavs, you know? Uhh on very open maps,
pretty useful as Nords to use their cavalry because they have javelins and they can use
it uh o- on a open field. But here it's a pre- pretty mixed between open fields and
closed streets. It's pretty hard to use that javelins -- I mean when you are on the horse
but it's always useful to give your javelins to infantry and for the Rhodoks uhh, they
are definitely one of the worst cav in the game so- that's probably why uhh... teams
are not using that much cavs. CL: Ok uhh, just a, one last question. What
do you think about um your chances in the league overall? D'you think- who do you think's
going to win? Do you think you have a chance of winning? And uh- are you enjoying the league
overall? Nubijuki: Yeah... actually I'm really enjoying
the league, all the rule sets the- the atmosphere uh the- the fact that we can pick a team that
there is a bit of- tactic even out of the match it- itself so I really enjoy it. Uh...
our chances? I'd say we got good chances t- to finish at the top five and uh I'll make
my best t- to to t- to to win this, at least for the team yeah I- I think we- we can do
it if we are working as we did for this match, keeping improving and always with such mot-
a great motivation we got good chances to make pretty good things in the WNL.
CL: You think you guys can win it? That's great. It's a great attitude yeah. Thanks
to Nubijuki for coming to talking to us, thanks for showing us such a great game, we really
enjoyed it. Eman: I loved your cavalry chargin-
CL: -yeah you were great, you played really well. You were always... right on the point
umm Eman: -because cavalry are the antithesis
to f***ing... archers Nubijuki: Yeah
(CL laughs) Eman: You were getting them good dude.
Nubijuki: Thankyou. Eman: You were getting them so good-
CL: -Nubijuki I've got one last thing to say to you. Do you have any shoutouts anything
you want to say to the- to the viewers, to anyone?
Nubijuki: Well I hope you enjoyed the- the last rounds it was made JUST for you viewers
uh... please please tell me you love me because I-
(CL Laughs) Nubijuki: -I made it with Archer.
Eman: That was so great but you only won 'cause you were riding the horse, so you weren't
TIRED like the other guy was. He'd been walking this whole time. He didn't land a punch on
you dude! Nubijuki: He did he did a- o- I... at least
one time. CL: I think you really proved your manliness
by winning that fist fight in the end so. Eman: Yes you did.
CL: -gonna be a Warband celebrity... if you're not already- which you are. So um, thanks
everyone for watching the stream. Thanks for listening to the interview with Nubijuki,
thanks to Nubijuki for coming with us. Thanks to Eman for coming casting with me. Thanks
to everyone for watching, once again... uh and uh I think goodnight from me.
Eman: Alright. Nubijuki: Bye.
