Okay. On this 9mm semi automatic, on this weapon system there's a tad bit difference
in the way that it is taken apart or disassembled. Some of them have a lever that slides down
like the 40 caliber in my last series. This one doesn't have that. This one here is more
of a line up type of attitude. If you notice on this side of the slide catch, you have
a pin here, which is part of the slide catch. What's needed in order to take this weapon
apart is first again, make sure the weapon is clear and safe, release, decock it. What
I'm going to do is start slightly pulling the slide to the rear until I get to a certain
point where I can push that little tab and it starts just to come out. Once I remove
that pin, I place it there and just like before I remove the slide from the lower receiver.
As we look at this, there's not much difference in the 40 caliber with the guide rod and spring
and the barrel and the slide as to the lower receiver of this firearm. The difference is
the way it was taken down. Instead of turning it down and pulling the slide to the rear
and releasing it, this one here you have to push from the opposite side to get it started,
but the weapon has to be at a certain point in order to relieve the pressure off of it
to be able to remove it. That there is how you disassemble this particular style of 9
mm semi automatic handgun.
