Hi. My name is Jason Andrews, and I'm from a t.v. show called All 4 Adventure. Now, one
of the questions I do get asked on a regular occasion is "what tyres do you use, Jase,
and why?" Well, there it is. It's the BFGoodrich Mud Terrain. Because a lot of people ask me,
why a mud tyre over an all-terrain tyre?
Well, I honestly think that the mud tyre, one, is the toughest tyre, because it has
the big square block tread. And it is a tougher carcass. It's the heavy-duty carcass that
holds the tyre together.
Now it's that block tread that makes the tyre so good. And it's because it allows the mud
and the dirt and the rocks to easily clean outside of those treads. So it doesn't get
caught up. And of course, if it gets caught up, then the tyre looses traction. It just
spins in the mud. Now a lot of people say that if you buy a mud tyre, one, they're gonna
wear out quicker. Two, they're gonna get a heap of road noise.
Well, I've just done 20,000 Ks in the Kimberley, and this tyre is awesome on the bitumen and
even more spectacular in the dirt and in the mud. It's maximum traction when you get into
those situations, but it still handles the road conditions. It's not overly noisy. So
if you're gonna make a choice between a mud tyre and an all-terrain tyre, just think about
where you're going and what you're doing. If you're gonna spend most of your time on
the beach, then maybe you need an all-terrain tyre. But I spend a lot of time in different
terrain. Not only will it handle the beach or the sand, but it also does well in the
mud, in the rocks, and on the dirt roads. Because, at the end of the day, you do not
want to be getting punctures when you're out in the bush. Because the hardest thing to
do, especially in the Kimberley, is to get yourself another tyre. The old tyre place
is a long way away.
Make a choice. If you're going out in the bush, think about where you're going and what
you're doing. Mate, I choose BFGoodrich, because they've worked for me over the thousands of
kilometers that I've done in Australia.
