Hi, Welcome to Woodplay. Where we have been making the finest Redwood Playsets since 1975.
Today I'd like to point out some of the features and benefits of our playsets. Primarily the
Triple Joint, which is exclusive to Woodplay Playsets only. Most playsets are made of typical
post and beam construction. Which simply means you have 4 4x4s as corner posts running from
ground to the top of the playset. If you look at other manufacturers they will tie their
walls together with 2x6s or 2x4s, at Woodplay we insure we use the largest timbers possible
to create nice, strong, sturdy playsets. The Triple Joint feature is key in that pursuit.
If you note here we have a 4x4 connected to a 4x4 connected to a 4x6 and they are all
overlapping. That allows us to run a bolt through here, here, and here creating the
strongest joint in the industry. On this playset this Triple Joint occurs at 8 different positions.
The importance of the joint, if you think about a playset, its a structure but its contected
to a swing beam. That swing beam, once it has 3 or 4 kids on it and they start moving
it back and forth, is really constantly trying to loosen up the playset. Strong joints will
reduce that stress and keep the structure firm. So at Woodplay we use the Triple Joint
and we think you should compare when shopping other competitors, you won't find it anywhere.
