Hello! My name is Tumi! And I am going to do the accent tag! So I wasn't necessarily
"tagged" to make this video but I love watching these accent tags on youtube and I thought,
"You know what, I'm going to make one of my own." So for those of you have never watched
an accent tag before or if you don't know how it works...basically I say different words
in my accent and you just sit there and laugh when I pronounce something weird to you of
course but to me it sounds normal. Okay, so...first I gotta say where I'm from. So I was born
and raised in Canada. So my accent is Canadian. Not the stereotypical Canadian that you hear
in the media. I was born and raised in a city right outside of Toronto, Ontario. So I'm
going to start saying words...now. This is my first video so just bear with me! Okay.
Sorry that this is so bright that my face is so flushed out. I'm not this white in real
life. Aunt. Roof. Route. Wash. Oil. Theatre. Iron. Salmon (Some people say saLmon...including
my own sister. No. Don't pronounce the L!) Caramel. Fire. Water.Sure. Data. I think I
say data. Ruin. Crayon. New Orleans (I don't know if I'm saying that right so if you're
from there I apologize). Pecan (I don't know how I say that word). Both. Again. Probably.
Spitting image. Alabama. Lawyer. Coupon (I actually used to say Q-pon...so...fun fact).
Mayonnaise. Syrup. Pajamas. Caught. Naturally. Aluminium. Envelope. Going back to the aluminium
word...After watching videos of the accent tag on youtube I found out that people say
"aloo-min-ee-um" like I know in Australia they say "aloo-min-ee-um". And at first I
was like "no that's not right" but if you actually look at the word it makes sense!
I don't know...all I know is that growing up I said "al-oo-min-um". So I guess that's
all that matters...for the purpose of this video.
