Hello YouTube viewers, and welcome to my home. My name is David Nelson, and I am here to
talk to you about guns.
In recent news, I've heard many arguements along the lines of "we must ban all assault
rifle and magazines holding more than ten bullets" and others saying "more armed guards
in schools would have prevented this." I personally disagree with both of these extreme views,
but what's a man to do when those in the middle are under represented?
Needless to say, in anticipation of the upcoming magazine restrictions, I've gone ahead and
had mine modified for compliance. Now, this is Betty. She's a Glock-17, which fires 9mm
cartridges, and a standard magazine holds seventeen of them. As you see, very litle
of it is visible when she's ready to fire, especially not any marking to indicate how
many bullets are inside, so you're just going to have to trust me when I say I've only got
ten bullets in here, just like we trust every American with a gun.
Now, just to prove to you that I've only got ten in here, one. two. three. four. five.
six. seven. eight. nine. ten. What's this? eleven. twelve. thirteen. fourteen. fifteen.
sixteen. seventeen.
I guess I lied... The truth is, no legislation dictating the size of magazine one can use
will ever be successfully implemented because any magazine designed to use only half of
it's avalable space WILL be modified for full utility.
What I think is a better approach is to license individual gun owners, much the same way we
license people to drive. Some states already do this, and those states have lower gun crime
rates because people don't want to buy a gun to sell to a criminal when the gun is tracable
to them.
This is my Washington State Concealed Pistol License. With this card, I can walk into a
gun store, show the shopkeeper the card, make a payment and walk out with my gun. My background
check is already complete, so I don't have to wait a week to have my gun. Now I know
some people are rather paranoid that the government will start taking guns away if they know who
to take them from, but the fact is, American gun owners won't go quietly. There's no way
such action could go unnoticed before the militia forms to overthrow said government.
Well, that's my thoughts on guns, thank you for your time. If you like it, like it...
have a good night.
