Hi! I'm Kelli and this is Colby on behalf of Expert Village. I am going to show you
my opinions an techniques on how to lunge your horse. So now we are going to step up
our workout a little bit at the other direction. I am going to stand at her shoulder, let her
out on a lunge line a little bit, stand in the center here and hold our whip in a V formation.
Just going to cluck and wave the whip really gently at her to get her to break into a trot.
Just let her go around here a nice comfortable job. Keep clucking to her if you want her
to keep going or if she is wanting to kind of stop on you. Just cluck and wave the whip
at her. Cluck a little bit more if you want him to pick up a little bit of speed and trot
out a little bit more. You want to be sure you never have your lunge line wrapped around
your hand in case they would spook and startle. You never want to get in front of or behind
the horse because that would confuse them and make them want to stop. So just stay right
in center and pivot on your left foot. Keep your lunge line and whip in a V formation.
Keep clucking as you need to so they keep going forward. Like right there she wanted
to slow down and stop so we just gave her a little cluck, a little encouragement to
go forward;
whoa, whoa and that is how you will want to trot the opposite direction.
