We all know that it’s dangerous to be juggling our phones when we’re driving. And that’s
why Kia has made Bluetooth audio units available across its model range. However, to set up
an operation of your Bluetooth with your Kia Rio is slightly different from other models.
So we’ve made this short clip to show you how easy it is to get up and chatting. Before
we start, make sure that your phone is actually Bluetooth enabled and the function is activated.
Now, first up before you can start to make and take calls you’ve got to pair your phone
with your car, so they can work together. First press the green phone button to select
Bluetooth mode. Now press the audio *** until it displays register phone, and press the
audio *** again. See how the words pairing and code which is four zeros is flashing on
your radio display? The Kia Bluetooth radio is now waiting for your phone to respond with
the correct detail. On your phone, go to the Bluetooth set up and tell it to search for
a device. Search done. Kia should now appear as a found device. Select the Kia listing
and it will prompt you to enter a passkey code. Four zeros, and there you go. See how
the Bluetooth logo is on the radio display as well as the name of your phone. The word
connected will now appear for a couple of seconds and your Kia Bluetooth system is up
and running. Now taking calls is simple. You will hear a phone ringing through your Kia
Bluetooth radio when you’ve got an incoming call. The word incoming will appear on the
radio’s display for three seconds, followed by the calling telephone number. Press the
green phone button to answer the call. Hands free will appear on the display and talk away.
To end the call, just press the red phone button, call end will be displayed. Now if
you get a call that you don’t want to take just press the red phone button. It’s just
as simple to make calls. Use your phone to select or dial a number
and press the call button. The word outgoing will appear on the radio display for about
a second. Some newer phones have a voice call feature which can be used to make a call,
and will certainly work with your Kia Bluetooth. If you want to dial the last number you were
connected to, all you have to do is press the green phone button twice. Once again,
the word outgoing will appear on your radio display and to disconnect just press the red
phone button once. Now for convenience and safety, you can also store the phonebook of
your mobile phone into the Kia Bluetooth radio. Please use your vehicles instruction manual
for guidance. With Kia Rio’s Bluetooth radio it’s that simple to take and make calls
safely.
