Hi, my name is Gijs Bodenstaff, 1 of the Online Video Professionals. In this
video I will show you how you can easily edit your own video with YouTube
editing software. First, we are going to login to YouTube. Next, you click on
the "Icon" in the top right. And you go to "Creator Studio". Next, you go to:
"Create". And you see 2 things here, the Audio library, which contains among others
free music and free sound effects. You can
use those for your video. But of course we are first going to the Video Editor.
Well there are several options that you can choose from. First, you can of course
edit the video that you have already uploaded in your time frame. But there are a number
of other interesting options, such as for example "Creative Commons" videos, those
are videos that are royalty free. So you can just use those. So let's say you want to
use those, then you simply drag them here and voilà, you can immediately start using
this video. Furthermore there are a number of other options, such as for example importing a photo
or a logo. Well that is simply a matter of dragging and it's in. And then you have
two bars here, and those can be used to simply stretch the video,
or extend it, well yeah, move it. Then you have the
option music, you can search by genre, you have Hip Hop, you have Disco.
Well you can simply drag this and play them over your video. Furthermore there is an option
those are, yes, effects. Let's say you want to add a star, well you just add it in.
Then I drag it through to the effect. And you see a nice star appears.
Then you have the option of adding a text. So if you enable this,
then you see on the left side your original video and on the other side you see how
it will look if you add effects. So it's a nice option. You can still add audio,
you can then lower the volume or increase it, the bass, etc. Now as soon as you are
happy, er, with your video, click
on Create Video. Then you see, it will take a while until it is processed. And a
golden rule is actually when you create a video of about 5 minutes then it will take
on average 10 minutes until your YouTube has edited your new video. And as soon as it has been
edited, it will of course be added to your Videos. That is of course
not yet the case. You also don't see it being edited yet. But then
you can do the normal optimization as usual.
So very easily, you go to "Create". You go to Video Editor. And
then there are a number of useful options. Let's say you add this, then you can,
with the button on the right, zoom in. Then you see all 'separate' fragments.
I personally really like this option when editing. Furthermore there are a number
of other options. Yes you can set the brightness, contrasts, the slow motion is also a nice
option, you can slow down the speed a little. Then there are a number of filters, you can
for example apply black and white, text, audio we already talked about that. So these
are pretty much the basic features of YouTube editing, this is a free program. If you want
to make more professional edits, then I could recommend you a few different
options. Er, there are of course free and paid versions,
I myself use a Mac. And I use ScreenFlow, but there is of course also iMovie which is er
simply free. For Windows there are various programs.
But if you just want to edit the basics then YouTube Editing is fine. I personally work
with ScreenFlow for Mac. I like the program, I will make another video
about that. So if you now go to the top right
and click on the "i", you will be redirected to a short introduction video about editing
using ScreenFlow. If you still have a question after watching this YouTube video,
just ask it below. Then I will answer it for you. Is the video useful to you?
