I really don't know.
Should I destroy oder defend it...
You can't defend it.
It is against everything that's good and right!
Hi
What about you?
Oh, nothing.
Don't listen to him!
I mean, what do you have to say?
Ah...
NO! Listen to me!
I'm not saying anything!
Go on. Tell me what you think about it.
No! Dont listen to him!
Shut your mouth!
Tell me!
You really Want...
Yes, really!
So come on. Tell me something.
OK
Imagine an epic Intro here
Hello my dear nerds and random byclickers.
Initially I planned to keep out of the matter,
but this is not possible.
I've had the discussion at least a hundred times,
So I decided to openly add my two cents
into the Purse of the Force.
I't all about the faux pas of this century.
The battle: Lucas Fans vs. Disney.
OMG - Star Wars will fall into ruin.
Hey, Calm down dudes.
Just because George Lucas in no longer
mothering everything and it's labeled "Disney"?
Do you really think Lucas is the only one
able to make a good Movie?
But now everybody will sing and dance.
Have you ever seen a Disney feature movie?
Of course there are some with singing-stuff.
But let me name some of the better ones:
The sorcerer's apprentice
Pirates of the caribbean
OMG - how I loved this Movie
The hole Bunch of Pixar Movies
Not talking about the productions of the
subsidiaries like Lucas arts is now
Taking Touchstone as an example with:
Die hard - with a vengeance
Miramax was in possession of Disney
from 1993 to 2010 and produced some of their most
successful Movies with Disney funds.
I hope you know that without Disney we propably
wouldn't have a Quentin Tarantino, Jude Law
or Ben Affleck.
But I can imagine that some of you
would prefere a world without Affleck.
In 2009 Marvel Studios was taken over by Disney, too.
I can't see any loss in that.
Admittedly... the old farts at the board meetings
of Disney, that are maybe as funny as the holocaust,
prefer shallow entertainment
and don't like controversal Movies.
But Star Wars never was controversal.
But... the are making Star Wars kiddy crap.
I want Star Wars to remain for Adults.
Star Wars? For Adults? Let's recapitulate:
For heaven's sake,
the whole first trilogy was a fairy tale,
not even talking about the Ewok spin offs.
Beginning with Episode II, Star Wars reached puberty,
but the target audience is still 10 to 20 years old.
I have no problem with that.
I became a fan aged 8 myself.
But please don't tell me Star wars is
so much more mature than Disney.
No matter what movie franchise we are talking about.
People will always say, that the new movies are bad
because they are not like the old ones.
People relax and remove
that broomstick out of your butt.
Try to watch a Movie without expectaions
or at least without prejudices.
You will see, that you'll have a lot more fun.
I say, let's give Disney the chance they deserve.
The creatives at Lucas Arts are still the same.
Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fischer
are on board again,
Michael Arndt is for sure not a bad writer
and neither is J.J. Abrams a bad choice.
But maybe we should clarify if directing Star Wars
and Star Trek at the same Time is double blasphemy
and should be punished on the pyre.
Computergames and gamers usually have a press
that is not particulary good
What? Washing? Me? I did that just last week.
Frank says that's enought, too.
Graduation? Why? Dude, I'm a level 90 scorcerer!
But now I've actually seen something incredible.
The BBC recently showed a report about a woman,
using video games in therapeutic purposes.
This nice lady is Hilda Knott, 86 years young,
40 years of gaming experience and
using video games to stay mentally fit.
Looks like it is working fine.
Some of her favourite games are the GTA series
and the totally freaked out RPG Disgaea.
Unfortunately it's not the detached and detailed
video game report I'm waiting for.
Although the clip shows nothing new to us gamers,
it may be interesting for the normal folks.
Link is down here.
Please imagine following situation.
You re the Leader of a nation with a shortage
of commodities, especially fossil fuels and
you are in charge to do something against it.
What will you do?
Right! You will take an oversized, maneating orchid
with frantically whipping around poison vines,
that can move around for hunting.
Then you will multiply and keep them in Farms
in populated regions to harvest the oil they produce.
Sounds like a foolish idea?
Don't worry. Everything will be fine...
of course unless there is a solar storm
that's blinding the whole of humanity.
At least, that's the plot of the novel
"Day of the Triffids", an absolute science fiction classic
that was filmed three times until now.
The first movie can only be called unintentional funny,
but if you want to watch it, you can do it here.
The second version never made it to germany.
But the third filmed version,
a 15 million pound BBC-production
in form of a mini series is,
thanks to the TV-station Pro 7, available in german.
Take a Look at it.
I Had a lot of fun with this show.
The acting is good as expected.
Set and costumes are great and
the VFX are not to be ashamed of.
Of course there are weak spots
as in every movie and series.
In this case they are the stereotypic characters
and their not always comprehensible actions.
But I've never been bored during the 180 minutes
and I hope you'll like it too.
Wasn't I talking some time ago about
showing you interesting bands and stuff?
To not be called a liar I'll show you....
Ladies and Gentleman, we have to interrupt
the programm because of an important information.
The worldwide notorious movie studio Troma
was the first to went a whole new way.
Instead of trying to promote their old Productions
by expensive commercials, they decided to
upload them on YouTube for free.
The company of visionary producer and director
Lloid Kaufman, that is known for political incorrect
low budget entertainment for grown-up non-adults
or as other people would say cheap *** garbage,
presents its audience movie masterpieces like
Don't miss hundreds of hours of entertainment
of the craziest and bloodiest kind.
I wish you know a lot of amusement
with the program of your choice...
if you can call that amusement...
Is everybody of you incapable to stop the public
service television hacking into our channel all the time?
What? What red light are you talking about?
Oh... uhm... haha...
those rascals totally forgot to shut off the camera
while we were.... probing a scene... CUT!
The first band, that I want
to introduce to you is very special.
Although they has produced only 3 own songs
and are far from technically perfect but...
maybe you should just take a look
before I spoil the surprise.
I stumbled over these kids while I was looking
for videos of Yuto Miyazawa.
A Bunch of little fellows playing metallica
at a local beer festival? Kinda cute.
But the more I klicked through their videos
I had to start thinking.
If they play that good now...
how good will they be with 20 or 30.
Just look at little Zoe. 8 years old,
teeny-weeny, sugar sweet... and then...
Do I have to say more?
The kids become better day by day, taking lessons
from professional musicians at Newbury Rock School.
They have a good connection to Metallica and
here you can see them with Dream Theater.
The Mini Band are:
Harry Jackson, 10 at the guitar
Kieran Fell, also 10, rythm guitar
Archie Zolotuhin
(I hope I pronounced that correctly),
meanwhile mature 11 Years, playing the bass
Harrison Read,
aged 9 years the leading vocalist
Charlie Emmons, 12 years,
doing his thing at the drumset and
Zoe Thomson, cute 9 year at the E-Axe
Aren't they just cuddly cute
and at the same time extremely heavy?
Even when there I still no answer
to the first community question...
maybe nobody wants to evince himself as a cheater...
*cough*... cowards... *cough*
here is the next question, and again it is
something I don't understand a bit
how could I make clear what I mean...?
You have no idea how boring this work is.
I'm so looking forward to this evening.
You have no idea how boring this work is.
I'm so looking forward to this evening.
Finally something interesting.
WTF?
I mean... honestly... we all have to endure
so much everyday life all day long.
So why would anyone spend his spare time
in front of the TV watching even more everyday life?
Soap operas, reality TV? Why?
Is the audience of this shows lacking some everyday
boredom, so they have to get the crap out of the retort?
Or are they just too unimaginative to think
of anything else then everyday life?
My meaning is,
that free time should be spent with friends, anyway.
But even when I wast my time in front if the *** tube,
I'd rather prefer something I don't see or
undergo everyday myself. What do you think?
Discussion is opened. Leave your comments
down there at the electronic notepad
and for me there is only one thing left.
The participation in the last competition was...
...existant.
Maybe the question was too less of a challenge...
In this case todays question will be answerable for
only a hand full of people in this beautyful country.
But first we want to know who was the winner
of the last Episode, Jaqueline!
Would anyone be so pleasent
to drag our Lady Luck on Stage, please?
You can totally forget tha...
Jaqueline, who is our winner?
The winner is Artur Wasem
Hurray... Gratulations... won wastepaper
Hey, gratulations and have fun with it.
What's todays price, Jaqueline?
Today you can win the Movie Fast & Furious 5 in DVD.
Not in it's original packing but surprisingly
actually new, because someone had to buy the movie
on BluRay without watching it first.
Thank you Jaqueline...
Someone just knows what the word quality means.
To not again make it so easy that nobody
feels challenged, you have to answer
the following question to paticipate.
In the last third of the first show, you can find
a movie quote. What I want to know is the names of the
three actors saying the quote in the movie.
Hard? Yes! I recommend google & IMDB
And that's all for today
You will find all the links concerning the show
down there in the description.
And if you are from Berlin or around and would like
to play beside George Clooney,
then you should contact the Filmgesichter agency.
Good luck. Maybe I will see you on screen.
Otherwise until next time when it's time for
