Hello again and welcome to Aquaheat.org.uk my name is Steve and here we are on another
installation of a Worcester product. This time it's a Worcester 28 CDI compact; one
of the new range of CDI's. The compact is smaller, much more sleeker than the classic
range. As you can see, it fits very nicely (I've got to put the doors on here) into the
kitchen cupboard. We've had to put this one over to the left side because of pipework
and we've got some things that we have to avoid up there, so we've had to raise this
boiler. We originally had a boiler and a cylinder and tanks in the bathroom, so we've taken
the boiler out and we've converted the pipework and run new hot and cold supply back into
our kitchen sink and we've got a condense pipe coming out, going outside into a gully.
It's fully lagged outside to prevent from freezing. As I said, this is modern condensing
boiler. The Greenstar range, this is probably one of the most energy efficient on the compact
boilers, compared to the classic, as it's slightly better on the CO2 ratio and slightly
more energy efficient. So a great product for what it does, it fits
into a small place. It comes in three kilowatt sizes; you've got the 28 kilowatt, the 32
kilowatt and you've got the 36 kilowatt and they all give slightly more hot water flow
rate as you go up in kilowatt ratings, provided you've got the cold water pressure coming
in in the first place. So as I said, this is a heating system conversion
we've done here in a flat; which is ideal. One bathroom, two bedrooms and we've got no
stored hot water, it's instantaneous hot water so it's quite a lot more economical for heating
up hot water, like you're just running gas when you're opening up the tap, you get more
cupboard space as well, which is a premium in flats in London.
So yeah, I mean that's it really. We fit the DT20RF which is a program that sets on the
boiler, you can set your times and also you've got your digital stat over there, which we
fit as an optional extra. And we're Gas Safe registered, we're also
Worcester Bosch approved installers, so you get the extended warranty which is currently
seven years and covers parts and labour on the boiler. Any problems that you get within
the boiler within that period will be covered but this is subject that you have a gas service
done once a year, which we do and we would be happy to let you know what our current
charges are. So that's it really, you know, if you'd like information on us doing a job
for you, why don't you drop us an email to info@aquaheat.org.uk. Thanks very much.
