\f0\fs24 \cf0 Good evening, everyone\ \
I'm Sunny Bee\ \
Welcome to Part 5 of My Sisters in Phuket 2012\
\ Tonight's episode picks up where episode 4
left off\ \
I'm back in Korea\ \
planning to undergo a radical medical procedure\ \
on my chin and jaw\ \
A special note of caution tonight\ \
although I've tried to edit out all the gory parts\
\ some viewer discretion is still advised\
\ And finally\
\ the episode ends with me packing my bags for
THAILAND\ \
planning to join the beautiful\ \
brilliant women who are my sisters in phuket\ \
\ Musical Open\
\ >>Coming soon!\

\ Seoul is efficient, modern and fashionable\
\ With 21 million people\
\ it's the second largest metropolis in the
world\ \
only Greater Tokyo has more people\ \
Known for everything from its high tech industry\ \
to its vibrant nightlife\ \
Seoul is also one of Asia's plastic surgery capitals\
\ With surgeons congregated here\
\ around the Apgujeong subway station\
\ And that's in Seoul's ultra fashionable Gangnam
district\ \
The same one made world-famous\ \
by the recent YouTube video\ \
I stayed at the nearby Ritz Carlton Hotel in Gangnam\
\ where the staff spoiled me rotten\
\ >>>And I can't stress enough \
\ how well they took care of me\
\ at the Ritz Carlton Seoul\
\ I booked a standard room\
\ but they upgraded me to a suite\
\ And one of the bellhops was so helpful\
\ that I contacted corporate headquarters\
\ when I got back to the United States\
\ It's no secret that as transgender women\
\ we can face a lot of discrimination\
\ So for me, the extra kindness\
\ at the Ritz Carlton Seoul was extra special\
\ (choking back tears)\
\ Why did I leave my Washington, DC home\
\ for the 7-thousand mile trip across the Pacific
to Seoul?\ \
It's partly because of this glowing article in the New York Times\
\ which discussed sophisticated jaw procedures\
\ pioneered by Seoul's ID Hospital\
\ My patient advocate at ID Hospital was Joanne\
\ Whom I met first by email\
\ Joanne introduced me to Dr. Lee\
\ who explained how my jaw procedure would work\
\ >>We cut the bone in the center\
\ >>And we remove this part\
\ Called a Mini V-Line\
\ this is an advanced procedure that ID Hospital
pioneered\ \
>>We move this part from the center\ \
>>Then we put the sites on the side together in the middle\
\ It's my understanding that because of cultural
reasons\ \
these procedures are rarely performed by surgeons outside Asia\
\ >>Your chin is going to be narrowed\
\ I arrived at ID Hospital in the afternoon\
\ with my room all ready for me\
\ A gown, slippers, blankets\
\ and other supplies neatly arranged\
\ Before long I would be under general anesthesia\
\ Music\
\ Luckily the body begins healing itself right
away\ \
The swelling and stitches in my mouth were not painful\
\ but a bit annoying\
\ All I could chew was soup and even that was
difficult\ \
so my weight dropped below 120 pounds\ \
But within a few days I felt strong enough\ \
for the 7-hour direct flight from Seoul to Phuket\
\ It felt great to pack away my coat at the
airport\ \
since this would NOT be needed in Thailand!\ \
I tried my best to look pretty\ \
but on bad days it was hopeless!\ \
You can't hear it here\ \
but this flight attendant called me sir!\ \
I tried pulling my hair down\ \
to cover my swollen jaw line\ \
There, that's better, isn't it?\ \
As we prepared for landing in Phuket\ \
i wanted to scream with excitement\ \
But I still worried about how my sisters might react when they saw me\
\ Would they run away in disgust?\
\ Or would they embrace me yet again\
\ as they always do?\
\ I would soon find out...\
