Do our x-rays cause cancer? There's a lot of buzz in the market place about dental radiation.
We have subscribed and invested in the latest digital technology. The reason that we have
done this is one, it gives us instant access to the images we want to see. The second thing
is it minimizing the amount of radiation that the patients, not only the patient but we
are exposed to on a daily basis so the exposure that is received in a dental office on a daily
basis or even on a one time exposure or once a year exposure is so negligible that it's
not even much of a concern anymore. We still use all of the latest precautions meaning
lead aprons and all of those precautionary measures but the amount of radiation that
is rendered in a dental office today is you know in different scenarios and different
examples is compared to the radiation you receive from eating a banana or the radiation
you receive from standing next to a brick wall. So radiation concerns in the dental
market today is, in our opinions, not a major concern like maybe it was in the past and
we feel very confident and comfortable that radiation exposures are kept to a minimal,
are not harmful and will not create or cause any types of cancers.
