-Hey everyone, and welcome to the first weekly A.S.H. Dev Video.
These videos are a way for us to show you, the fans, our ideas,
while at the same time, getting your feedback on how we're doing.
Today, we'll be looking at lighting in the ruins,
so, enjoy.
So here we are, in A.S.H.'s random ruins.
This is where I'll be testing out all of the weapons and features.
The first thing we'll be testing out in this video is the flashlight.
As you can see, it lights up a small cone-shaped area to help you see.
It's especially good for spying reaverbots,
but it also makes it easier for them to spy on you,
due to the bright light on your buster gun.
Let's go forward.
In here is dark, so I'll turn my flashlight back on so we can see.
This room has no lights at all, so, I guess I'll be...
...yeah, it's dark.
Let's turn this back on, look around...
hopefully there won't be anything here to surprise us.
...yeah, this looks good...
Turning the Head-Up-Display back on, let's try another item,
Not the grenades, but the flare.
A flare can light up a small area.
You can also set up more than one,
or even throw ones that aren't lit, and light them with another one.
Although I missed there.
Now, looking at the room with flares, it's almost like a lit room.
It's as easy to traverse as a normal one.
So, let's pick these up,
because you can save them, and reuse them later,
but how much they've been used is saved,
so they can't be kept and reused forever.
...this one's stuck in the wall...
Okay, got it.
Now that they're put away, it's dark again; You can barely see.
But, we have one more thing we can use.
Yes; even your buster shots light up the room.
This can be a very, very dangerous way to travel,
because it's very limited in how much it helps you see,
but makes you very obvious to the reaverbots.
But, if you burn your buster out, you create a small glow around you, which can help.
And now we're out of the room, and back where we started.
That's it for this episode. I'll see you next time. 0:02:50.000,0:02:50.000
