Hi, I would like to talk to you a little bit about the hydro logic cycle, you know there
is no new water on earth; all the water we've had has been here really for millions of years,
its just keeps getting recycled over and over again. Basically all its doing is water evaporates
thru the sun, saltwater, rivers, lakes, streams, stuff like that vaporizes, goes up in the
air where it condenses, comes back down and hits us. As water comes down it actually picks
up lots of different things in the air that it contacts as far as dust, gases, pollutants
and stuff. It hits the ground and then there it will pick up heavy metals, minerals, and
things like that; pesticides, insecticides, voluntary organic compounds all those types
of things, before it finally gets to where its going to sit in a reservoir or lake, or
something like that where we might use it from an aquifer. So you can see how water
actually picks up a little bit of everything that it touches. Whether its gases in the
air, metals, chemicals, hardness and stuff like that. It?s important that people learn
so that they can dispose of these chemicals and pollutants properly so that hopefully
these things don't wind up in our water supply.
