Top 5 Terrible Things Going On In The WWE Locker Room Right Now - Part 2
5 NIA JAX IS BEING BODY SHAMED: Nia Jax set the rumor mill on fire recently when she sent out a tweet that seemed to indicate that she was being body shamed.
Now, most people probably know that Jax suffers some body shaming from online fans, but the nature of her message seemed to indicate that she was suffering from body shaming inside the women’s dressing room as well. At present, nobody has anything but rumors regarding who may have been bullying Nia Jax or what the nature of their messages towards her might have been.
However, some are wondering if the problem really stops at one or two individuals. It’s been suggested that this issue might be part of a larger culture of shame within the WWE dressing rooms.
4 WWE RELEASED A LEGENDARY EMPLOYEE AND BARELY ACKNOWLEDGED IT: You might not know Jim Johnston, but we guarantee you that you’re familiar with his work. Johnston is the guy responsible for a number of great WWE themes over the years.
Listing them all would be pointless, but if you’ve ever enjoyed Ultimate Warrior, Stone Cold Steve Austin, or The Undertaker’s theme song, you’ve got Johnston to thank for them. Recently, WWE quietly let Johnston go after his years of service with the company. Now, some are saying that this release wasn’t unexpected.
After all, the music group CFO$ have been composing most of WWE’s themes recently. However, some people are surprised about how quiet WWE have been about the release. Johnston has been a huge contributor to WWE’s success over the years, and the company has barely acknowledged him.
3 FINN BALOR IS BECOMING AGGRESSIVE ABOUT HIS WEAKENED ROSTER SPOT: Many people felt that Finn Balor was guaranteed to be a huge star.
He had a great gimmick, a ton of experience, was solid in the ring, and was rapidly improving on the microphone. Since Balor’s Universal Championship win and subsequent injury, though, his career has taken a turn for the worse.
To be honest, it’s not entirely clear what is going on here. However, the rumor mill suggests that Balor’s lack of a push is due to Vince McMahon’s lack of faith in Balor as a huge star.
This in turn has led to Balor making some pretty aggressive tweets regarding how “over” he is. The nature of this hostility may be part of a bit of a work, but serious questions remain regarding what WWE actually plans on doing with Balor.
2 WWE MAY BE RISKING DANIEL BRYAN’S HEALTH TO KEEP HIM UNDER CONTRACT: The Daniel Bryan/WWE relationship is one that fascinates most fans.
At first, it seemed that WWE and Daniel Bryan would never be on the same page regarding his future. Daniel Bryan insisted that he was ready to wrestle despite his history of concussions.
WWE claimed that they were protecting his long-term health by not allowing him to perform ring work. At the time, many fans begrudgingly respected WWE for their decision. Now, though, it seems they may be willing to reverse that decision in order to keep Bryan from going to the competition.
Bryan recently served as a special guest referee in the near future and it seems that WWE has been building more storylines around him on SmackDown. Would they really risk his health just to keep him under contract.
1 THE WRESTLERS THINK SHANE MCMAHON’S PERFORMANCES ARE MAKING THEM LOOK BAD: Shane McMahon’s return to WWE has been a success for the most part. The fans love him, he’s good on SmackDown, and he’s participated in some surprisingly good matches. However, not everyone is happy with Shane’s position in the company.
Specifically, the full-time wrestlers are a bit upset with what Shane is allowed to get away with. Because he’s not a full-time wrestler, it’s easy for Shane McMahon to perform certain high-risk stunts in his matches. Because full-time wrestlers can’t perform those stunts, they feel like it’s too easy for Shane McMahon to steal the show from them.
Even worse, some reportedly feel like Shane’s performances are setting an unrealistic standard for the rest of the wrestlers that they simply aren’t allowed to match because of restrictions placed on certain moves.
